Wade and Curry both tied in votes are they the clear debate here? Are they clearly better than peak Kobe?

Or are defensive stalwarts with offensive versatility like Walton, Garnett, and Robinson being underrated and deserve to be ranked next?

Or does this go in a completely different direction with offensive superpowers like Dirk/Barkley/Harden? Hard to win in the modern era without dominant offensive force.

You should post the final tally. At least we can stop talking about that shriveling coward now.

I voted wade thinking it would force a tie breaker between he and curry. U still voting curry?

Went back and looked, looks like I first voted for him at 6 as did mrblist.

For me, if I need someone to win me 1 game I’m going to pick someone who has one of the greatest if not the greatest performances in the finals, there’s no bigger stage in basketball.

    Jordan: GOAT
    LBJ: right behind Jordan
    Shaq: most dominant big ever
KAJ: more accolades than the GOAT
Wilt: Give him the nod because of his insane numbers

After that give me the guy with the greatest finals performance who’s elite on both sides of the ball and about as clutch as it gets. I’m for damn sure not picking the following over him:

KD: easy way out, couldn’t get it done until he made the most stacked team in history.
Curry: never won a finals MVP, he’s been outshined 1 way or another every time. Only team to ever choke away a 3-1 lead in the finals.
Kawhi: 2 finals MVPs, first should’ve went to Duncan probably and the 2nd wasn’t anything special with 3 of the top 5 opposing teams players out with injury.

But honestly at this point I’m probably not going to say much more until he’s off the board, I’ve basically just been repeating myself the last 7 threads so I’ll start going back into detail when I start to argue for someone else lol

I asked again. Why so much emphasis on the modern era? Why does it get to define how basketball greatness is measured?

It doesn't, it's just a hypothetical game happening today, with today's rules and emphasises

Would you guys say Walton is like a better defensive version of Nikola. Maybe a better rebounding version of the gasols?

I think arvydas was better than all of them, when does he get voted in? Hell, he has better range than all too, perfect for today

I am leaning Curry here, too bad I missed the last vote as he was the key to that Warriors team in reality.

Curry was pretty easily seen as better coming off those MVP's and a title, many even argued him with Lebron at that time (it was who is best in league between them after 15). It was hating at the time to point out Curry's legacy would actually likely be limited by KD joining in his status/rankings given the system but here we are he is now behind KD. I think this is a pretty common view now after their time together.

Am I missing something here? I looked at the thread for No. 13, and it was still a three-way tie between Curry, Durant and Wade. I didn't see a tiebreaker thread. Did someone just make an executive decision on Durant? That's about as BS as Durant getting upset every time someone reminds him he took the easy way out.
