Lol. Owners told Manfred, "Hey, *******, we're making a ton of money from TV deals. Don't **** this up."

They can barely get the players to care enough to follow protocol right now when their seasons are on the line. I'm curious to see what happens in early september when more and more teams are out of the running. The expanded playoffs does help a little.

Unless I'm wrong, there wouldn't be a big problem now if players from Miami and St Louis followed protocol and didn't go hang out somewhere..

Yes. Follow our example. Don't distance in the dugout. Don't wear masks in the dugout. WHOO! That'll do it.

I guess if our players are actually behaving off the field, then that's great. But I just find this entertaining.

    I agree
Would like to see them wearing mask on the bench keeping distance among other things

I do agree with what youíre saying with the team not wearing masks in the dugout and I hope they will start doing that.

But I do have to give them credit. They are being safe outside of the ballpark and clearly it shows with no positive tests at any point (besides Hottovy and Napoli before they regrouped)

It's great that they're being safe outside the park. I commend them. We've got good leadership. But all it's gonna take is playing a team with a couple unknown positives and the way the cubs currently behave on the field we'll have half our players down.

Are the Cubs really doing anything different or is it just dumb luck that they haven't had any infections?

I think the Cubs have just done well in following protocol at home and on the field for themselves, their teammates and family...

This disease is spread by respiratory droplets, so as long as during the games, the players and coaches arent spitting, coughing and sneezing on each other, theyll be fine.

They keep using the lotion and washing hands, their good.

If they do move Kimbrel, which I'm fine with, I'd personally go to Wick first before Jeffress.
