It's just a top to bottom **** show of decision making. No reliable PG to turn to when Simmons is out. No reliable SF option to go to when you need it. Overpaid a C to play PF, and is good enough to actually start, but isn't the right fit to start. And on top of that EVERY time Horford plays without Embiid he looks more like his former self, so it shows we're going to HAVE to get rid of him, and we're not going to pay because the contract is bad, rather every team KNOWS we're going to have to get rid of him. My only hope with that is some stupid team talks themselves into needing him that bad.

I'm actually genuinely curious is New Orleans would want him. A front court of Horford/Williamson/Ingram actually feels like it fits well, especially with Horford's passing ability and play starting. I'm not sure what they would be willing to move out, but I would add some to Horford to get Jrue back from them.

A Jrue for Horford swap might be a good trade for both teams.

Houston could be a good trade partner too. Horford for Covington and Rivers could work if you have Roco play SF and Rivers as a back up pg/scoring off the bench... but does it move the needle?

    A resume of yesterday's results:

The Spurs have beaten the Jazz in their attempt to qualify in the East, they are now half a game behind the Blazers and one and half a game behind the Grizzlies. The Pelicans, the Suns and Kings are further behind the Grizzlies and given that there are only a few games remaining, it seems impossible to be able and qualify. Utah otoh, is only battling against the Rockets and the Thunder for the 4th or 5th seed, but with the Thunder tanking to be 6th, it can only be 4th or 5th which makes no difference as there is no home advantage this time. It therefore looks that Utah will be playing against the Rockets in 1st round of the playoffs and the Thunder will be playing against the Nuggets.

The Grizzlies were fortunate to play against the Thunder which are tanking in order to gain a 2nd 1st pick during the draft night, they therefore won without much resistance and remain on the 8th seed.

The Kings lost to the Nets and with this defeat, they lost the few remaining chances to qualify for the playoffs, they will packing back home as soon as the games of the tournament will finish. The Nets otoh, seem to have locked the 7th seed in the East with this win and will be playing against the Raptors leaving the Magic to match up against the Bucks in the 1st round.

The Magic lost to the Sixers in a defeat which drops them 8th in the East, but with this win the Sixers are within a game away from the 4th seed in the East if they can overtake the Pacers and Miami who have two games remaining playing against each other, but the Sixers are also looking to avoid losing that pick to OKC and this can only be achieved if OKC ends up with the 10th best record in the league. They therefore keep an eye on how the Thunder are doing and if the Thunder tanks, they'll have to tank too because their record is only half a game worst.

Washington lost to the Pelicans in a game were the result makes no difference to either. The Wizards have long ago lost all hopes to challenge the final qualifying spot in the East and while N.O. can still mathematically qualify in the West, there are another three teams they have to overtake which are ahead of them.

Last game of the evening was the Cs vs. the Raptors with the result having no consequences to either team since they both have locked the 2nd and the 3rd spot in the East and will be playing against each other with no home advantage in the E.C. semifinals if they both can beat their respective opponent the 1st playoff round of the playoffs. The Raptors chose to hide game tactics schemes out of their opponent having in mind the by far of more importance series that follows in the playoffs, which resulted in the Celtics blowing them up.

OKC is in a tight race in the 4-5-6 seed race with only one game separating all three. The likelihood of them tanking to keep the 19th pick over potentially having the 4 seed is incredibly low.

Wiz eliminated yesterday, Kings about to be eliminated today with a Blazers win (Clippers load managing Kawhi).

I donít think any of these bubble teams that are making the playoffs are thinking of draft picks right now bruh

It's what suits you best as a Sixers fan which leads you to that conclusion, you should have a more clear vision when you analyse things.

OKC currently has the 6th seed locked and they play against Denver, with the Clippers next before LAL in the WCF... The 4&5th seed both have the same path, which is they play between them in the 1st round and then the winner will be kissing us goodbye in the 2nd round after they will surrender to LAL and Lebron/AD...

Do you think that whether it's Denver, or Houston, or Utah in the 1st round makes any difference to OKC?

Or better put it like this... What would you care most if you was OKC? ...you have 2 choices:

    1. Lose the pick and look to rank higher and then play either Jazz or the Rockets in the 1st round and then get disqualified by LAL in the 2nd round.

    2. Keep the pick and play Denver in the 1st round (same promotion chances as if it is the Rockets or the Jazz), match up with the Clips and avoid LAL in the 2nd round, then try to promote and play in the WCF.

Honestly, close your eyes and think as if you are a fan of the Thunder, which of the two choices you pick?

No... you are right! they are stupid and suicidal instead and because they are all that, they prefer to ignore the pick and play against Lebron and be wiped out in the 2nd round (if they can pass the 1st of course).

    Today's games:

Games will open this noon, with the Blazers playing the Clips in a few minutes. The Blazers will again give it all to win this, because it will get them even a step closer to qualify for the playoffs. The Clips are by far less concerned about the result, but it's a very good test for them.

Nuggets vs. Jazz which follows early in the evening, is expected to be the most interesting game of the day as it's result, directly affects 5 teams (the Nuggets, the Jazz, the Rockets, the Thunder and the Sixers). If the Nuggets win this, they lock the 3rd seed which will result in avoiding playing LAL before the ECF comes, if the Jazz win this they will be only 1 game behind the Nuggets threatening to take their place and drop them 4th, but the Jazz will be doing a service to the Rockets too who are also challenging the 3rd spot.
The Sixers otoh, will be praying for the Nuggets to win, because then, the Jazz will lose all interest for the following games and this may cause them more defeats, which could then lead the Jazz dropping behind the Thunder and the Sixers winning the pick at the finish line! The Thunder will also have high interest on the result, but they will be praying for the Jazz to win because then, they'll have all the three teams above them battling for the 3rd spot and would only have to look for the Pacers to end up with a better record than their own in order to secure the pick.

Next is Lakers vs. Pacers in a game where the Lakers will be using as a scrimmage, but the Pacers will be chasing hard to win in an attempt to retain a higher ranking than the Sixers. The Thunder will of course be praying for the Pacers to win this, because they much secure winning the pick if they do and the Sixers will be praying for exactly the opposite result.

Next up is the Heat vs. Suns, with the Suns only chasing prestige and the Heat looking to win in order to end up ranking above the Pacers and the Sixers.

The Mavericks vs. the Bucks which will be closing the evening, is another game which is expected to be used as a scrimmage game from both sides.

After 16mins in the game (1/3rd of the game) the Blazers are leading 52-48 the Clips, with 100pts having scored by both teams in the game!

It means that the game is currently on a pace for 300pts to be scored!

Nunn a finalist for ROY, Bam a finalist for MIP.

Bam will win MIP but all bias aside Duncan Robinson shouldíve been a finalist. Couldnít sniff the court last year and this year heís the best shooter in the league and heís actually Miamiís highest positive impact player.
