    (1-2) Redsox Vs. (1-2) Mets

Game 1: Monday July 27th at 7:35 PM

    Josh Osich
Osich will be Bostonís first opener this season. After 218 career appearances all in relief, the lefty makes his first career start. Look for him to go one or two innings, before bulk-innings righty Zach Godley comes on.

    Michael Wacha
The odd man out of the rotation entering Spring Training, Wacha moves into the fourth starter role after Noah and Marcus injuries. Heíll pitch in Boston for the first time since the 2013 World Series.

Game 2: Tuesday July 28th at 7:30 PM

    Matt Hall

Hall will get the first change to be Bostonís No. 5 starter. The lefty has never started a game in the Majors, but started 85 games in the Minors, including 13 last season.

    TBD: (Probably) Corey Oswalt

Game 3: Wednesday July 29th at 7:10 PM

    Nathan Eovaldi (1-0) Ė 1.50 ERA)

Eovaldi was in cruise control with the benefit of a huge lead. He scattered five hits, with the lone run scoring on a double from Renato Nunez in the sixth. He struck out four and walked one while throwing 89 pitches in the victory. Itís nice to see after his disappointing 2019 season, but we need to see a more challenging opponent before we start to believe again.

    Game 3: Thursday July 30th at 7:00

    Martin Perez (0-1) - 7.20 ERA

The Orioles heard the lineup jokes from Friday and were not amused. Perez struggled from the start; allowing a three-spot in the first inning and two more runs in the second. The left-hander settled down after those frames, but the damage was done; especially with Alex Cobb pitching so well. Perez has had flashes of competence in his career, but there are just as many starts like the one we saw on Saturday. Heíll try and get on track against the Mets on Thursday.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Steven Matz 0-0 (1.50 ERA)

Matz surrendered just two hits and one walk on the day. The only blemish on the southpaw's afternoon came on a solo homer off the bat of Adam Duvall in the second inning. Unfortunately, he was denied a victory after Edwin Diaz suffered a blown save in the ninth inning. With all of the injuries that the Mets have had to deal with in their starting rotation this season, it would be a tremendous boost if Matz can pitch as a top of the rotation starter. He'll try to replicate this effort when he does battle against the Red Sox at home on Thursday.
