Normally yes, I'm just guessing mainly because of Covid they would rather try and get these games in if possible over taking a chance of missing games later because of Covid, as in what happening now with Marlins and the Phillies...

I think he should shut the **** up. Dude doesn't even wear a mask in the dugout. If Rizzo was following protocols and ****, I'd care a lot more about his opinion on this. But he doesn't. He's high fived people. Doesn't wear his mask most of the time.

I don't really have any interest in hearing him complain about player safety when he doesn't take care of his own side of it.

I don't have any problem with players having an opinion but it would probably be better for the game PR-wise if they did it in private through their union rep instead of the public sniping.

I think they should have their opinion. But I think it only holds weight when it doesn't work DIRECTLY AGAINST their own personal actions. I don't care one bit about the PR. The only bad PR is saying, "WHY WON'T THE LEAGUE CARE ABOUT PLAYER SAFETY!!>!?!?!JROIUHOEHFYAHF" while also not caring about your own safety as a player.

It's just so weird to have rule changes like this in the middle of a season. It probably benefits the current Cubs club. And it's such a unique situation. I understand it. But still kinda drives me crazy.

Having this new rule makes me feel like they will end up having the Phillies/Marlins make these games up as DHs, IMO.

I don't care about their spats, I don't really want to hear about it. I want baseball to go do whatever you they to do to make that happen. I agree that Rizzo is being a bit of a hypocrite, the Cubs players could be doing more as a whole to make things safer too. They hardly changed their behaviour after the Marlins wake-up call happened. Even the homeplate ump last night i don't think was wearing a mask. Like wtf.
