Is it one outing though? He's been pretty ****ing awful as a Cub.

He got a couple bad breaks though, he had that one batter with a true strike called as a ball and a check swing that was extremely close.

Thank god! I would rather Wick close, he looked the best of the group in 2019.

If there is a frustrating win that feels like a loss this one is probably it .

Let's not go crazy. I think Kimbrel was horribad tonight. But it's a game.
I mean honestly he's been bad for a while. He was blowing important games at the end of last year too. I know some of that was giving up more home runs then he's likely to continue. But I'd be ok with giving it to Jefress and letting Kimbrel earn it back if he can. Maybe he can put it together in a setup role. Most importantly though i mostly just want to see some of the garbage heap replaced.

Dude. I was GENUINELY laughing out loud that ENTIRE ****ing inning.

Also, y'all can thank me for that win. I was laying down the ENTIRE 9th inning. Then when it was 3-2 on the guy before Votto, I sat up.

BOOM. He swung at a horrible pitch.

    Then Votto made an out.

    You're all welcome.

Really not sure how Kimbrel is suppose to hit a target he isn't even looking at until hes half way through his motion.

    It's a 60 game season everyone.

I'd rather be lucky than good!

Jefress got lucky Ervin swing at ball 4 and Votto hit that ball really hard . There is nothing that Jefress did that outing that should make anybody feel good .

I mean, he hasn't been good with the Cubs. But who the **** in this BP has been good? Everyone would love change but there's no fix right out outside of "Hope Kimbrel figures it out".

Jefress walked in the tying run and got lucky. Sadler and Winkler can't find a zone. Tepera sucks. Maples can't sniff a strike. Underwood throws BP. Norwood throws BP. I like Ryan but he's really a LOOGY in disguise more so than anything. Wick isn't that great.

    There's no one else.

Right now, it's Kimbrel or bust. There's nothing else. This is the pony we have.
