Not sure Halak getting sniped can be blamed on height. Both Myers and Laughton's goals they walked in with nobody on them and went top corner far side.

it's a bit harsh, but tall goalies don't get beat top shelf 3 times in 20-ish minutes of game time by guys like thompson and laughton.

Goalies don't typically face that high quality of chances repeatedly in a game normally with a perfectly placed shot either.

they were dangerous chances, sure, but there were no screens, and these guys aren't ovechkin out there picking corners at 98.6 MPH.


those goals don't exist against a goalie like pekka rinne because any shot that clears rinne's shoulders will not stay under the crossbar. and even if it happens once, it certainly won't happen 3 straight times in a game.

That was a good period. Good on Myers to snatch the momentum right back after the Bruins got a lucky bounce. Both Braun and Hagg were atrocious on that goal

No lineup changes unless Raffl is hurt. Farabee steps in for him, curious where he would play. Does he bump Laughton from the second line, NAK from the 3rd, or just play on the 4th. Think Hart keeps playing all these games, don't think Elliot would start against Washington or Tampa.

Hagg played a strong and physical game.

I'm Hagg's biggest defender here, but he had a pretty uneven game. What Braun did on the goal was an even bigger issue than what Hagg did. Braun did not have a very good game at all.

I said it before the stoppage, but you don't mess with that 2nd line. Laughton appears to be the perfect complimentary player on that line with Hayes and Konecny. Farabee should just slide right in for Raffl and hope he can ramp up the intensity on that line and give you a solid 8-10 mins a night.

been telling people since day one we would shock the world this year with how good we would be... -check-

been telling people that hayes and others would help put us over the hump -check-

will we win the cup? probably not be we have just as good as a chance as anyone.... I just hope we dodge tampa because their speed kills us.

Hart was awful the first month and a half or so

No Lindy

Ghost has been terrible or nonexistant or a healthy scratch

No JVR for like 6 weeks

No patrick at all this season


Yet we can beat anyone. Prov/cout/hart..... Those 3 can lead any team anywhere they want. Those are our golden gooses .

i might be one of the few that still wants ghost on the top pp. Provorov makes so many little mishandles on the pp its infuriating. Love the effort though and hopefully raffl can come back in. At least this gives farabee a game or two and can allow raffl to get better. Best case scenario was to allow farabee to get into a game before the actual first round.

i mean sure.... if you want a guy that turns the puck over and constantly misses the net. He has the speed and the handles but shouldnt ever be trusted again until he shows he can be even alright at this point.

The team gave up one goal on a deflection off of a defenders skate. The entire team played well. Hagg was very physical.
