Especially now that they have gotten Brantley too...geez

If he gets 5/110, that is perfectly fair, especially considering he is 29 and turning 30 before the season.

    Agree with 5/110 for J.T.

Damn the braves playing into elevating the offer.

Iím torn. If you canít spend, donít. Own your mistakes and make some serious trades. Annoying that Middleton talked big talk and then back tracked so quickly. No one made money yet teams still paid. They have some pieces that could make a winning formula. The bullpen has to be better and the offense had potential with right moves but who knows. Mets braves nats are conceivably all better. Fish are on the rise. Could be a 5th place team even with JT

JT signs for 5yr/$115,000,000. Probably bid against themselves and if a DH isnít adopted in the NL Harper and JT will be hard to accommodate in 4/5 years. Will they spend more? Still a 4th place team at the moment

Thankfully it wasn't a 6-7 year deal like some people before the season thought it was going to be. I'd imagine he will still be good for the next 3 years, we just have to hope years 4 and 5 aren't train wrecks because catchers decline so quickly.

Overall, this team needed him back desperately. They are still 3rd-4th in the division race but a better BP they can be in the mid-high 80's range.

Simmons just went to the Twins so the Phillies better grab Didi and quick or there will be a rather large hole at SS. I'd like Didi and Rosenthal to solidify the BP a little more. I also would like to see a veteran SP added. That would be a solid offseason in my opinion.

The wait is finally over. JT is back with the Phils 5/115M. The bad news is now they have no money to spend on pitching

Wow, I liked Simmons in mainly because the one year deal, I really wanna see Stott and Casey Martin in 22 -23.
