Keep watching the 3rd video, I promise it's a highlight video of DSJ and not of some white guy.

Over 1,000 views and no replies. Sad to see there are no MFFL's in here.

It didn't used to be this way. The last two years have been really quiet though. Maybe once people get to see Dennis Smith Jr play they'll post more.

I think heís still playing a little bit tentatively. I think as the season goes along and he gets more comfortable just letting the game come to him heís going to be a lot better. Heís been really good though considering all that he has on his shoulders. Heís handled it very well.

Tonightís game though sheís he still has a lot to learn. On that last possession he needed to attack the paint. The defense would have collapsed down on him and his vision is good enough to have found the open man. Instead he dribbled around too much and had to chuck up a bad shot. When they look at the film though Carlisle will explain that to him and heíll get better. Iím really excited to see they type of player heís going to be in a couple of years.

For sure, that last possession yesterday proved that he needs to improve in late game situation`s, but he is a rockie , so he will improve
I actually think we can finish better than last year, but the playoffs won`t be reachable..

Thatís pretty optimistic of you. Iím not so sure though. Their interior defense is really bad. I also expect they will make some trades at the deadline. I could see a couple of our veteran guards (Matthew and Harris) being traded.

They are clearly completely on board with the youth movement. Trading a couple veteran guards would open up more minutes for a guy like Clavell. Going with this much youth and having a great head coach means the Mavs will play hard but will also lose a lot of close games. I really think they will end up in the top 5 of the draft.

Well the year is over and DSJ had a fine rookie season however given the build up early season I was slightly disappointed that he wasn't even in consideration for Rookie of the Year as Donovan Mitchell (13th pick) and Ben Simmons way better. I thought we got a steal with DSJ in draft but Donovan Mitchell to Utah at 13 was the crime of the century.

I think future is bright indeed
With Luka, DSJ & Brunson alongside Barnes we will be good team to wacth again.
And yeah, sad how this forum has gone, was much better back between 2008-2012

I was posting here for a while but got tired of talking to myself. Iím obviously excited about Luka but I think we are going to see a massive improvement in Dennis this year. The season canít start soon enough.

We had a quit good pre-season despite being 1-2 against NBA teams.
Curious to see the leap for DSJ, how Luka scoring will be and can we finally make Wes play a significantly smaller role
Starting to think we will see very little of Dirk this year which is sad.

I used to try to post in this forum from time to time, but checking on the regulars all of them was last logged in between 2013 & 2016. No one new to replace them so it was dead end unfortunately.
Who knows, may be in few years new members will appear again when the Mavs became more exciting, hopefully

Iím hoping but not expecting this team to challenge for that 8th seed. I think if that happens we will start to see more people posting in here, at least a couple more.

The Mavs should be a lot more fun to watch this year. With Dennis and Luka tossing lob passes we should see Deandre (and even Powell) dunking all over guys this year. Iím also excited to see the development of Kleber. Heíll never be a dominant big but his 3-point shot looks a lot better and his defense looks really good. Kind of reminds me a bigger version of Eduardo Najara. And Iím REALLY excited about Kostasí development. He wonít get a ton of minutes this year but that kid has something similar to his brother. With 2-3 off seasons under his belt in the weight program he could end up being a real beast.

For whoever is still paying attention to this board...

Tonightís game against the Wolves was a really fun game. Luka carries a bulk of the scoring and Deandre was a beast. Dennis got people involved but still isnít quite there yet.

At this point I really do think Luka should be looking to score more. Thatís what the team needs while Barnes is out. Tonight was a perfect example of that. With his size and play making ability he puts the defense on its heels when heís being aggressive offensively.

Really good game by JJ and DFS too. Kleber is also quietly putting together a really good season. So is Brunson. With that said Powell is the Mavs beat bench player by far. Dude is super active.
