Does the NFL do any type of yearly psych evaluation or something along those lines? It's just crazy to look at the downward spiral this guy has been on over the last few years and you can't help but think it's related to CTE, or some type of brain damage.

I think with 82 and 88 retired and 86 "retired" they basically can't do 84 and have enough jersey availability.

My understanding is that since CTE is still pretty new there isn't actually a way to diagnose and treat cases. Only way to do so is to perform an autopsy after death. However, there has got to be something more you can do to try and prevent it, or at least diagnose it and try and figure out ways to strengthen the brain? Other than just trying to make the sport safe by investing in new helmets, new pads, new rules, etc.

    Brandon Marshall is bipolar, yes?
That likely has nothing to do with taking hits, it's a chemical imbalance generally triggered by a heavy period of stress. We're all predisposed to various things, stress is a major trigger, and sometimes it's just a 'luck of the draw' what gets triggered for each person.

As far as AB, he'd have to be willing...but research or not, a lot of these guys (especially those showing signs) should be treated like they have CTE, diagnosed or not.

Lol. I doubt any team would sign him even if they do conclude based on crap like this. Whos to say he wont randomly take his helmet and leave mid season then beg to come back.

the is-he-or-isn't-he retired AB has been suspended for 8 games

....so anyone thinking of actually signing him now knows exactly what they're chewing on from that end.......from AB's end, who the hell knows

And Lamar Jackson went out there this week and said that their lockerroom is different and he would be a great influence because he (AB) doesn't quit.

Not necessarily, it's 8 games minimum, he still has some pending cases that allegedly could tack on extra games.
