Woj drops the ultimate bomb, gets suspended, #FreeWoj now a thing

All per twitter, Woj responded "**** you" to a US Senators emailing him that the NBA should include "Blue live matter" as options for players to rep. ESPN has suspended Woj 1-2 weeks (reportedly). NBA players have been tweeting #FreeWoj as they are unhappy over his treatment over what they deem a reasonable response.

Pretty funny. ESPN suspending him is pretty easy for them just for swearing in their name, but they may have been better off just saying he was going to be fined or something like that. In the long run it's nothing.

I saw the competitor in the race or this seat point out that what the senator did, using an official government address to push for this, may actually have been illegal. If that's true, ESPN suspended Woj for telling someone to "**** off" to doing something illegal. Basically Woj got punished for not politely turning down a chance to potentially break the law.

Also kinda funny that email went to Woj and not Silver.

Oh and what the Senator tweeted had Woj's actual ESPN email address attached to it.

Do you have a link or can you explain what actually happened. The articles I saw did not explain it at all

I think you must work for CNN. Why not give the full story and a link?

Hawley’s release had publicized a letter he wrote to NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. Hawley criticized the league for deciding to allow messages that promote social justice on its jerseys this summer but not allow messages that support law enforcement or are critical of China’s Communist Party.
Way to only give a partial truth to fit your narrative. Anyone who doesn't see that the NBA and all the social justice warriors who remain silent on China are a bunch of weak/soft hypocrites should lose all credibility. This is the problem with partisan politics... Everyone only cheers or riots when it's convenient for them. It's complete selective outrage.

"F--- you" to whoever spins the truth or only gives half the truth. You contribute to the problem in making America even more divided.

Was Woj "badass" when he privately and publicly apologized like a gutless coward? He shouldn't have gotten suspended for expressing his TRUE feelings. Nevertheless, he's backpedaling and you call that "badass".

Why would he do that? How is he suppose to spin this and make the Missouri senator look like he wants to kneel on necks?

I'd imagine anyone could look up Woj's ESPN email address. I doubt it's some super secret information.

If Woj violated his contract then ESPN may have been forced to suspend him.

Not sure to be honest. Feels more of a PR more though than a “we actually have an issue with this”.

I would think ESPN's PR machine would have preferred to not suspend him.
