Crawford not at practice, deemed “unfit to play”

Guess that means we’re not moving past the Qualifying Round.

    Hello, chance at #1 pick!

Totally forgot we traded Lehner hahaha

12.5 percent chance here we come! Or... valuable experience for a young goalie? Do we have one that's worth anything?

We pretty much have to rely on Subban and Delia.

So we have no shot lol

Honestly I'm not sure having King Henrik would do much for this team; but I digress.

Still excited to have young guys get playoff experience

A league edict now states clubs only need to divulge that a player is "unfit to play" as opposed to the nature of an ailment or another issue away from the game.
Thought it was important to add this so as to quell speculation. "Unfit to play" comes from the league and a number of teams have applied this status to players.

Yeah I get there reasoning for doing it, but instead of having it “quell speculation” it’s doing quite the opposite IMO.

People are going to assume anything and everything at this point

That is true, which is disappointing. The only thing we definitively know is that we don't stand a chance in a 5 or 7 game series without Crawford in net, barring some unforeseen, out-of-nowhere 2010 Halak-like performance from Subban or Delia.

Yup I 100% agree on that. No shot without Crow in net.

Then again, hopefully it lands us the #1 pick as well

I really think Crawford has a few more years left as a viable starting option. His health has, unfortunately, been an issue, but when he has been in net he has still been very good. With no options on the roster headed into next year, I'm interested to see what they do with him. Even with Crawford in net, I'm not sure the Hawks have an answer for McDavid/Draisaitl.

I don't think Crawford, Seabs, or Keith have anything left to offer.

It's been over since Nashville swept us IMO

I hope we get that top kid in this draft. Window will fly right back open with that guy. We have a ton of good blue line potential. We just need forwards. He’d be great.

I mean just cause, I will still be enjoying the **** out of this lol. Nothing like playoff hockey and while no Crow means prob. certain departure you know some of the boys will still be putting on a display.

Dach has been getting a ton of praise from teammates since they resumed with practice. To have Lafreniere come in would be a dream.
