Generally when discussing the GOAT player it is important that you look at their career. MVPs / Rings / All-NBA Teams / etc. But this ranking throws all that out the window. 1 game. At their absolute best. Who you taking?

    I'm going Kareem. At his best I was getting +30ppg / 15rpg / 5apg / 4bpg and elite defense.

1 game? Wilt had the single best game, so Wilt, and I pick that game.

You don't copy and paste a box score. It is based purely on their skill. If you think Wilt at his best was the 2nd best player of all-time then by all means place your vote. He is certainly a candidate for it. Shaq and Bron as well.

I am very interested to see how the top 25 shakes out. Especially players like Curry vs. Moses or 2020 Giannis vs. D-Rob or Bill Russell.

I would probably add Bird myself and maybe even Duncan to your list. It's hard to say where you stop considering guys here lol.

I have Lebron/KAJ 2/3 all time and honestly they might be 2/3 in my peak rating too. Shaq/Wilt and those above are probably the guys I think about most besides them though here. I didn't get to see very much of Wilt or Russell at all tbh so they are much tougher for me ranking and given we have so much less to go on outside of eye test too (so I can't make up for not seeing it almost at all in reality with say tracking and video or video breakdowns and so on just basic stuff usually) it makes it really difficult to compare.

I'm voting based on "I need to win 1 game and I get any player in their prime."

That's how I interpreted the thread.

I wish I could go in depth right now. still shocked number 1 passed without my input. these arguments do better when u start comparing and debating choices but because this world is making us choose our time wisely I'm just gonna say 68 Wilt. factors that matter, individual impact (played damn near the entire game) , team success (considered the greatest team despite the celtics dynasty for a really long time) and level of competition (crushed the Cs) and level of play (wilt dropped a quad dub in the finals and averaged a trip dub for a series). might have to recheck those stats but he went full beast mode. the problem with wilt in AT ranks is that he got bored. he didn't play the same way every year, he was always testing the limits of his abilities, which is why he went from leading the L in scoring, to being the only C to lead the league in assists

I get the era arguments (tho they were becoming less valid by the late 60s). but this level of peak dominance can't be matched. i also don't think peak is about 1 season because ur peak run exposes ur flaws as well, we just didnt get to see them one particular year.
