that's unfair cuz it makes sabonis a goat center level player.

    SF- Ron Artest (DPOY)
SG- Chris Mullins ($1) (off ball 3 point shooter)
    PG- Gary Payton ($2) (DPOY)

Lebron costs 7. And that's 3 modern guys.

    PF - Durant ($6)
    SF - Bird ($6)
    SG - Mullin ($1)
    PG - Jrue ($1)

Unfair is not playing by the rules or twisting the rules based on being on a position of power.

In this case, it’s clearly within the rules, which I didn’t write.

    • B: Michael Jordan ($7)
    • B: Klay Thompson ($3)
    • F: Ron Artest ($1)
    • F: Dave DeBusschere ($2)
    • F: Arvydas Sabonis ($2)
    vs.
    • B: Gary Payton ($2)
    • B: Klay Thompson ($3)
    • F: LeBron James ($7)
    • F: George McGinnis ($1)
    • F: Arvydas Sabonis ($2)

If we're talking positionless basketball, put the ball in the GOAT's or the King's hands, and surround him with shooting and defense. I don't really get why anyone would not have Sabonis on their team, if they're going based off of peak performance. If he had come to the U.S. a decade earlier, he might have been the greatest international player ever.

Bingo. Sabonis' prime was in Europe. Deal with it.

But anyway, for anyone interested in some short clips of Sabonis with 1, 2 or 3 operations respectively on his legs can have a look here of his battles with David Robinson. They were really something, both were great players.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pznGvQ4PTWY (1986, a better game to judge these two players as Sabonis had only one big operation several months prior and was still relatively mobile, which was always his best trait at his peak)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEydL75tWWA (1988, when Sabonis was forced to play by the Soviet regime despite the medical staff recommending that he needed at least 2 more months before getting play time following his 2nd achilles tendon surgery)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2bDMAzllQM (1992 unfair fight of peak Robinson with the greatest team ever against a watered down newly formed Lithuania team with Sabonis having 3 operations and everything thinking that he's going to finish his career soon after, which obviously did not happen after all. Yet Sabonis)

It basically was a wash between the two, possibly a slight edge to Sabonis, who never was at his peak when he met David Robinson in either three times.

The only chance the USA had meeting a peak Sabonis was in the 1984 Olympics but it never was to be.
I checked the stats 3 years ago because everyone was saying Sabonis owned him. I’ve known since then that Drob outplayed him.

in a game like this u definitely take sabonis over drob. hes cheaper, a better shooter and facilitator so he fits in better with other stars and multiple systems. in his hey he was quite mobile too
