What is with this "I damn well will lock my car" sentiment I am getting and why is it directed at me? I am just commenting on being on the other side of this equation.
If you feel like you need to lock your doors driving through a black neighborhood, please do. We do. We whether you lock yourself in when scared then get out scared and armed. Please don't direct any more posts declaring your right to lock your doors driving through the inner city to me. LOLOLOL.

Well, that's if you lived long enough to tell people you had a Ford PintoOriginally Posted by ;33494934

Wasn’t supposed to be directed at you or anything. I’m just saying if I’m in a high crime area with a lot of gang activity etc I am going to be extra cautious. If I’m driving in my town or any other smaller area and I am stopped and see a group of black people I’m not locking my doors or rolling up the windows.
Chicago/Milwaukee in a gang area is obviously different.

Not just in a suit. A nice suit. Talking/acting a certain way. The thought crosses my mind.
I was in Philly once with relatives from out of town. We saw an Italian guy who “looked mafia” in an SUV back up and hit another car. He got out of the car and said nothing. The woman I was with wanted to make a scene/call the cops. I quickly got her back to my car and drove away.
Here’s another one... when I’m driving in a rural area, I have a saying...”no horror movie ever started when someone was lost in the city.” Obviously, I know the likelihood of being cooked and eaten is slim but my mind perceives more danger being “lost” in the country than being lost in any inner city.
While prejudice can be foolish, it’s not always bad.

People in the mafia don’t wear crappy suits.
When I’m in a rural area, I would never stop to ask for directions. Part of it is because I think they will just give me directions to be dinner. I never had an issue stopping and asking for directions in an inner city. I won’t ask a group of thug looking dudes for directions but there’s typically someone I feel comfortable asking. And that’s not based on skin color.
