Police shouldn’t be racist. Police shouldn’t wrongfully kill civilians. Since you believe this, it should be. Corporations should do business in the US. Corporations should pay taxes. The world doesn’t work within anyone’s given set of morals though.

If people want a $1-2 hike in the minimum wage, they should stop living in a fantasy world. Politicians should stop supporting fantasies.
So basically you won't even support a $1-2 hike in the minimum wage because some politicians and people support a $15 minimum wage? I think you just don't want to raise the minimum wage at all...

As for the corporations, yeah they can. In fact, they've been doing inversions with overseas companies to avoid US taxes and regulations. But we can actually draft laws making it more difficult for overseas companies to compete in the US, and we could even help their competitors if they choose to leave for overseas.

Heck, doing so falls right in line with Trump's whole "put America first" mantra.

The federal minimum wage increased to $7.25....over 11 years ago...after being $6.55 for only 1 year. I hadn't realized it, but this is the longest time since a minimum wage has been established that the rate hasn't changed...in fact only once in history did it remain the same over 6 years.

So yeah, it's due an increase.

Definitely overdue, as is tying each state's minimum wage to inflation and the cost of living.

The office attempted to murder Blake, period. His actions were a murder attempt, period. His INTENT may not have been. He may not have purposely wanted to kill him, he may not have even consciously thought it.

But he still attempted to murder that man. Maybe it's a problem with training. Maybe we cant blame.that individual cop at all, but if so, then the training should seriously be under the microscope.

They may not have intended it, but they trained him to attempt to murder someone if they walk away from you. That's what objectively happened.

what happened leading up to that is relevant. the police didn't end up there or even at that point for no reason.

it doesn't excuse the shooting which I have said shouldn't have happened, but what lead to this is still relevant, as is who Jacob Blake is to be part of his story.

what you described is manslaughter, not murder.

    man·slaugh·ter

the crime of killing a human being without malice aforethought, or otherwise in circumstances not amounting to murder.

    mur·der

the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another.

kill (someone) unlawfully and with premeditation.

lol, this is not a court, this is an internet forum.

People use the word murder when speaking every day. They use the word man slaughter when talking about a legal situation.

I'm not talking about what he legally or illegally did. I'm just talking about what he did.

By the time we decide to actually increase it, a $15 minimum wage will be the equivalent to a $7.25 minimum wage today...

Sitewolf is reasonable but the lengths some people will go to try and make sure someone doesn’t get 10 bucks instead of 8 is insane.

Shooting a dude in the back is not manslaughter. If the gun accidentally went off that's manslaughter. If he intended to pull the trigger that's enough for murder in our (not your) legal system. To pull a trigger is malice aforethought.
