What makes it even more bizarre is that if he did have a knife and a gun, that would have been reported by the police at the scene, especially under such a controversial shooting. The police almost certainly would have put out he had weapons in order to defend their actions.

No matter what he said, was doing, was going after…whatever……

There had to be a better way of handling this.

Why not just grab the guy? Or fire a shot in the air? Or slam the car door on him while he was layong across the seat?

There had to be a better way.

Firing a gun in the air can be dangerous to bystanders so I don’t think police are allowed to do that...just fyi.

If the cops saw a gun that he was reaching for them we have a debate.

I haven’t seen reports of a gun but I also haven’t followed anything on news or social for weeks.
I did say "there wasn't the direct threat to them at that point" so this shooting I don't think was justified. but there are also details that we should know. it looks like he had a knife and was told to drop the knife. why did he not listen? that doesn't mean he should have been shot, but he has fault here too.

    you said this.
More deaths and still no nationwide effort to fix the police
what deaths? more deaths because of police? specifically what deaths? if people want to use an example of someone black where the shooting was justified, then it's flawed, perception of being wrong and not reality.

I have seen people saying that what they want is for police to stop shooting black people. just that alone, stop shooting anyone that is black. but there is no chance that is going to ever happen because some of the time there is going to be someone who happens to be black (description, not why) that is going to be shot and it's justified.

that isn't what I said or suggest, but keep concluding what I must have meant.

I agree, which is why I've said this doesn't look justified.

I wonder what race the kids in each story were, lol

this is what I'm talking about.

    https://www.lehighvalleylive.com/new...n_for_m_2.html

Up to 110 years in prison for man who shot state trooper
Seiple pulled Clary over for speeding, issued a ticket and told him he could drive away. After Seiple walked away from Clary's car, he motioned him back for help explaining the ticket. At that point Seiple suspected Clary was under the influence of marijuana and called in Kelly for backup.

Clary failed field sobriety tests. When Seiple told Clary he was under arrest, chaos ensued, with the officers deploying Tasers and struggling unsuccessfully to subdue Clary until he ran to his car, pulled out a gun and opened fire.
someone that went to their car to get a gun and shoot the police.

if his children were in the car, would that have changed anything? would that have meant that it was totally fine, must be the police fault? no chance, it would have made no difference, just like this shooting with Jacob Blake.

Then why are you arguing so hard to justify it?
