If they saw a gun sure. Everything else is suspect.

I have friends that are cops and can’t imagine what it’s like in that situation. Some of their stories are crazy.

This instance is hard to stomach though. I texted my buddy who is NYPD about this one and he said “The only excuse for shooting someone in the back is if they’re charging someone else with a weapon. No reason for this. Seems like they botched the initial interaction and panicked.”

It’s just tough. My buddy has a degree in criminal justice from a top NY state school, worked through 9/11, now a detective. Some of these cops don’t have any schooling or proper training and the type of training varies in every district. More reason for universal standards.
