    Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal Passes Senate

Big vote as 17 Republicans join the 50 Democrats in passing the infrastructure bipartisan infrastructure bill.

    The bill contains.

    $100 Billion on Roads/Bridges
$73 Billion for power infrastructure and clean energy
    $66 Billion for Amtrack/Railroads
    $39 Billion Modernizing Transit
    $10 Billion for Transportation safety
$8 Billion for Electric Vehicle chargers

Some stuff definitely missing from the bill, and we'll see if the Dems are able to get more through during budget reconciliation.

Seems like Sinema threw a big wrench in what we'll be able to get through reconciliation today.

This is good. But the goal isnít complete until the adjacent bill passes through reconciliation.

How big is the entire bill? I'm just curious.
As one whose town needs some infrastructure help, I am interested in how to apply for some of these funds.

From what Iíve read, the compromise bill is about $550 billion in total.

It looks like a reasonable bill to me.

When I was mayor, I was told by representatives from both parties that the funds were not available for my area. Not sure why.

I agree, definitely need to get a lot more passed during reconciliation, but nonetheless all this stuff is positive.

A good win for the moderate and the American pubic.

I won't even correct it since it sparks interest

Good to hear that we won't have to worry about potholes any more.

I can now focus my combat urban driving skills on traffic instead of the road as well.

Let me know when something substantive actually happens. Good start, I suppose, and in particular, good PR.

This is making the midterms look better for incumbents.
