Top Twenty White Guys All Time

Had a thread about this earlier, but now new information with both ESPN and Bleacher Report coming up with all time lists.

I got a lot of pushback on my top ten white guy list last time - most of it valid. However, I still like my list because I consider longevity, but I prefer skill.

A couple of things about the ESPN and Bleacher Report lists. They have short memories and they like cumulative stats over skills.

I stick to my rating for guys like Barry, Cousy, Walton, Doncic, Maravich and White Chocolate who I rate very high because at their best they were much better than guys like Stockton, Nash, McHale and Havlicek who had better long term careers, but who you would never pick to watch over my guys.

Im probably one of the biggest Jason Williams fans youll find, and he certainly wasnt better than Nash Stockton and Mullin and he probably wasnt better than most of the guys you have behind him. Now if youre rankings are incorporating wow/entertainment factor, then I can understand where you have him.
    YOU JUST MADE THE LIST!!!!!

when you put jason williams who at his best never even made a all star team over a player who won back to back MVP's it just completely invalidates your entire list.

You can literally do a top 20 European white boy list and a 20 twenty North American white boy list.

I understand everybody who can't live with Jason Williams on this list.
My problem is that I can't leave him off.
I can sit watching a Jason Williams highlight reel mesmerized for half an hour while I'm snoring after about 10 seconds of guys like Stockton, Nash, McHale, and Havlicek. Sorry

Nash was just as entertaining imo. And obviously way better.

Mark Price, Kevin Love, Rex Champan, Dan Majerle, Danny Ainge, Detlef Schrempf, Toni Kukoc, Peja Stojakovic

Are a couple off the top of my head not on that list that I personally would probably put ahead of Jason Williams, and again, I was a huge Jason Williams fan.

I get that, but it doesnt make him better. Like I said, if youre incorporating the wow/entertainment factor in, personally I think Larry Legend might be the only other white player I would rather watch.

Meh.. Williams highlights were way better than watching him in real life.

Thats why I said personally, Nash was entertaining.. Chapman could throw a dunk down on someones head, Birdman was pretty fun to watch, but every time Williams touched the ball magic was potentially about to happen... it could be a no look bounce pass between someones legs right on target to webber, or it could be a behind the back pass to the guy sitting in the 4th row, ya never knew.. thats ultimately why sacramento got him out of town.

But entertaining doesn't automatically mean good. Otherwise, the Harlem Globetrotters would be the best players in history.

If we include Blake then we gotta start including guys like Steph, Thompson etc. They likely could make their own catagory.

Arizin, Jones, Adams were obvious misses. Good adds
