    2020 Schedule

I figured we could talk about the upcoming schedule release here. From what I have seen from leaks, we are going to open up the season at home against duh bears and finish the season against the Vikings. Yet to be seen whether that is home or away.

only thing that matters is where in the Top 5 we are drafting.

haha we aren't there yet in the season! We have to at least act like we are going to do something this year. Out look towards the draft happens around week 2.

Apparently a leak suggests we host the Bears in Week 1.

This goes against another report from John Clayton however that said out of conference games would make up the early part of the season, easier to cancel those ones if need be. Or could be because it seems like speculation.

Yea I saw that as well. That makes sense and would probably be the smart thing to do.

I'm standing by my belief that they will host Tom Brady and Tampa on Thanksgiving.

I hope so. I saw a "leak" earlier that said Minnesota on Turkey Day.

Always talk about getting DET and DAL off of the Thanksgiving Day slot. I feel like if they continue to put the NFC North rivals on it that narrative only increases. I think we have played them (NFC North) 7 times in the last 10 years. Let's play some teams that we typically don't and get fans from other parts of the nation into it.

Exactly. I despise all of the prime time games the NFC East gets for the same reason. Those games are boooooooooring. Media markets and what not I understand but if I never have to watch a Giants-Cowboys game on SNF, MNF, or 4:00 PM on Sunday I will be ecstatic.

Yea, seems to be the case. Pride of Detroit are keeping track of the leaks:

Per NBC Houstonís Vanessa Richardson, the Lions will host the Texans on Thanksgiving.

    Some things I noticed:

-Early bye again is going to be rough, especially with concerns about injuries
-No prime time games, save for Thanksgiving. No surprise given how disappointing the Lions have been under the current regime.
-I hate having top wait until week 16 to see the Bucs.
-No real cold weather games save for Week 13 and maybe 15.
-I don't expect either to be fired before then, but Week 12 could be built as ex-Pats assistants only to have 1 or both fired before then depending on how each team starts.

Week 11 could be a cold weather game because in the Carolina's mother nature is ****ing bipolar.

    Thoughts

Nice to see someone other than a NFC North opponent on Thanksgiving Day.

Opening up the season with 2 divisional games can be a good or bad thing. Knowing our luck they will lose both.

I'm optimistic to start the season 3-1 but have a feeling it will be 1-3.
