Thanks for doing the manual labor on this one. Man we all would be more Matt Millen then any partly successful GM.

I never voted but at the time I thought it was a good pick but he never developed like we had all hoped.

thing is, he could still very well pan out.

I mean how many years was it before levy became a good linebacker?

like 5 years into his career there was still someone here saying he wasnt in the top 100 linebackers in the NFL.

I'm honestly kinda just sick of seeing players do nothing in Detroit and then go elsewhere and go to a probowl.

two recent examples are quandre diggs and larry warford.

now obviously they were both very good in Detroit, but they left and both almost immediately became pro bowlers. it's frustrating

I'd argue Kyle Van Noy has had a fine career too since leaving DET.

But you're right. Davis could very well end up having a nice career in DET, at least I really hope he does. But man, he just misses tackles left and right and is atrocious in coverage. In today's NFL with the speed being what it is and the TEs being who they are, you can't be atrocious in coverage. You have to be able to keep up with the best of them and I just don't think he can.

Levy was a **** LB until he had Suh and Farily to take all the blocks for him. Levy was just a benefactor of the system and players around him.

he was still in the pro bowl for 3 consecutive years prior to being released.

maybe we get lucky and the lions resign him. even if he's past his prime already he still has to be better than what we have

    no he wasnt.

he got overrated because of suh and fairley, yes but he wasnt ****.

having a good line in front of you cant take you from **** to top 5 type play.

it took him from pretty good to looking like a top 5.

but he was far from ****.

there is a reason the linebacker on the other side wasnt also looking like a top 5 LB, because he actually wasnt very good

I could have seen them make a move for him had they not picked 2 OG in the draft but I don't think they will go after him. I'm sure he will cost more than what they are willing to spend on his also, but, who knows.

It seems like it has been pretty quiet with the rumors of them making any additional moves.

idk theyre rookies, and the lions still have one of the largest cap spaces to spend so I mean I dont see why not if we dont end up spending it elsewhere
