This is gonna be awkward when Burrow experiences the annual Bengals' first round pick season ending injury.

In comes Hurts for a first to save the 3-13 campaign.

If you didn't root for them when they were 2-14, don't root for them when they're 4-12.

It didn't make sense for either side for him to be there any longer, especially not at that nearly $18 million for the upcoming season.

I'm sure the Jaguars or Patriots sign him, idk if anyone else has dark horse destinations for him.

I'm sure we will see Dalton to NE. Makes the most sense IMO.

I'd like Dalton as the backup in Dallas a lot, but doubt that'd happen. I always liked him more than most.

Chargers and Phins if they want a placeholder for their rookies. Maybe Bears/Raiders if they decide to move Trubisky/Carr.

Get Dalton as a starter, save $20M/year, same performance. 😂

NE and JAX make sense because they have weak starters. PIT makes sense because they have an old QB who might be toast. And the team is too solid to expect to land a day 1 starter in the draft next year so it could turn into a mult year spot for him, even if he doesn’t play next year.

No complaints about screwing him over by releasing him now?

I don't think they screwed him, they let him and his reps talk to the Bears before FA opened. They fielded trade calls for him all way through the draft, they couldn't get anything so cut ties with him.

Just read an article saying he could end up in Pittsburgh to back up Ben. Seemed out of left field to me.
