dominant OG would be nice...... run blocking monster. to replace long.
TE would also be good
a WR who can be a speedster over the top
Depth at CB or a replacement S for haha
depth at OLB

OLineman, CB and QB to compete with Mitch are our biggest needs. I like this years QB class and I would like to take one with one of our 2nds.

Guys I'm really keeping an eye on as early day 2 possibilities:
Xavier McKinney (S) - Alabama
Trevon Diggs (CB) - Alabama <--- Stephon Diggs brother
Shaun Wade (CB) - Ohio State
K'Lavon Chaisson (EDGE) - LSU
Tee Higgins (WR) - Clemson
Joe Burrow (QB) - LSU
Jacob Eason (QB) - Washington
Jake Fromm (QB) - Georgia
These are all potential needs for us and some of these guys probably go round 1, but should all be on our radar. It's one of the best WR classes in a while, so I think you have to get one at some point (probably early), there's maybe 7 QB's right now that have a shot at round 1 (not saying they'll all go round 1, but will be considered there by a lot of teams), and there's decent CB depth in this class too.
Honestly, if he is still there, I would love Jake Fromm. Not that I am giving up on Mitch, but Fromm is talented and could come in and compete day 1. Let Nagy work with him and see if he can pick it up faster.
I don’t think he will make it to the 2nd. But that’s where I would go.

I just have a feeling if they brought in someone to compete...they would have a better feel for the offense than Mitch immediately. Better off moving on and letting him try his luck elsewhere than humiliating him like that. He seems like a nice guy.

I mean it depends on the guy. Mitch isn't the only guy with the kinds of problems that he has. If we are going in another direction, I'd rather move on for the simple reason that I don't want there to be a hesitation to switch guys, and as long as Mitch is on the team, there will be a hesitation to want to bench him. I'm all for vet QB (a la Foles/Flacco) & draft a guy if we end up moving on personally.
I like the idea of a bet. Not so sure on Flacco since he is a statue and I don’t think a good fit for the offense. I like the idea of Foles to an extent, but he is kind of the same, just a little more mobile than Flacco. Maybe Tyrod would be the best fit for this type of offense as a stop gap for a year or 2?
Assuming our line returns to pass blocking the way they did last year, I don't think this is an offense that needs a super mobile QB. Just someone who distributes the ball around and knows where to go and who can get the ball to our playmakers. Also, I think a big problem with immobile QBs is whether or not they're able to get the ball out fast. I think guys like Flacco/Foles have shown they can do that.
My concern with Tyrod is his inability to stretch the field ; but I'd like him. He would probably cost nothing or close to it.
I prefer mobile qb's, but Foles is just the perfect fit imo. Go Minshew ; Foles and a rookie would be a perfect situation next year
Aside from Mitch coming back from injury and lighting it up so much that he earns an extension.
I wouldn’t call foles a perfect fit lol. He has had some success in this system and is familiar with Nagy. But he’s still a bottom 3rd to 4th tier QB. I do think with this defense he is a good option, but he is going to cost a lot and doesn’t really do anything other than give us a slightly better shot than Mitch/Daniel.
