    NFL Draft Day 1 Thread

Use this thread to discuss Day 1 of the NFL draft. The Bengals have let Joe Burrow know that he is going to be their selection, so the Redskins are unofficially on the clock.

Also, since this is the first live event many of us will have watched for over a month, please don't spoil it with Twitter spoilers. At least until the third day of the draft.

I’d like it if roger goodell could announce burrow to bengals immediately as the draft starts. It’s annoying when everyone in the world knows who the 1st overall pick is gonna be and the team still uses most if not all of the time allowed to make a selection for no reason at all. This year I bet picks are gonna take longer to come in so no need to waste any more time than what is necessary

The first sports event of relevance and there has not been any sports in over a month unless you count WWE but still...you can bet people will be tuned in to the Draft. Ratings through the roof.

I know this draft is super deep at WR but I have a hard time seeing so many go in the first. Not because they aren't talented enough but teams know this draft's strength, there isn't going to be a rush to draft one imo when you can get an equivalent on day 2, save for the obvious (Jeudy and Lamb).

History doesn't typically agree with that though. They tend to go higher than anticipated because seems tend to fall in love with one, and want to rush to get them before anyone else does.

    Random. lol.

Also he's like a mid-2nd pick at best. Can't see him going in the 1st at all. Especially where the next 4/6 picks are arguably bigger needs.

Why couldn't Goodell announce the picks from a studio?
Chicago Cubs • Chicago Blackhawks • Buffalo Bills • Southern Illinois University Salukis

Naomi Osaka • Angelique Kerber • Bianca Andreescu

An anonymous front office executive said that he'd take the 10th WR in this draft before the 1st TE.

Because the NFL paid for his home renovation....errr....."studio".

Reality, I think he lives in CT and there's a very strict order on travelling in and out of NYC, and NFLNetworks studios are in LA and NYC.
