I think there was another woman on the far left without a mask, but It looked like they were generally keep distance from each other. I think the obsession with mask wearing is getting in the way of progress now. We need to be telling people that if you are vaccinated you don't have to wear a mask anymore.

I saw data recently that basically said 18% of people (made up of people across the political spectrum, but more than half conservatives), but the rest of the people not vaccinated just need little nudges to get vaccinated. Convenience of a vaccine gets 15% more people covered, but something like 30% get there with some clear and present benefit of getting vaccinated ... like not having to wear masks, like being able to gather in groups.

Yes the chair right behind her was never being used. You are a master deducer.

No doubt if you are vaccinated you should not be required to wear a mask, however it's a violation of HIPAA I would think to require to present proof to enter a store as an example.

That is an open question. Of course we could just take people's words for it. And I don't know that "mask or vaccine proof" would necessarily be a problem.

Interesting that Vox is not blaming anti-vaxxers but more just about hesitancy among the missing 30% who are just slower to get their jab.

I told someone my daughter who works in day care got vaccinated and they (really lovely person) asked me if I looked in to what it would do to her ability to have kids later in life. I have NO idea where that came from but I assume it was some radio host speculating about something and it just ran away from reality. Fear is like that, it crawls in with the slightest weakness.

I think I'll stick with the advice of medical experts, thanks.

And medical experts have said you don't have to mask if you are vaccinated but psychologically continuing to mask was a positive message to others, we also have no way to tell if someone not wearing a mask is vaccinated.

And at this point it's more important that we get people vaccinated than having them not vax and wear masks.

While I'm sure you could cherry pick some "medical experts" who have said that wearing a mask post vaccination is unnecessary, let's not pretend like that's the general consensus.

Getting vaccinated and wearing masks are both important; this isn't a one or the other type of situation.

Would you rather get people vaccinated or not? Vaccinated people can still wear masks, just give the option as an enticement.

This is a really dumb rebuttal. Again, it's not a one or the other sort of thing.
