And I know your obvious retort is that anything could possible happen. So you can save that one.
I didn't say that something like this couldn't possibly happen. I was merely alluding to the fact that you've been incessant about this Hillary or Michelle coming out of nowhere to "save the day" theory.

    Maybe you're right.

I'm sure this never crossed Hilly's mind.

Certainly not as much as itís crossed yours.

Everyone seems to be under the misapprehension the DNC and powers that be donít want Biden to be the nominee because they donít think he can eBay Trump, however in reality itís the exact opposite.

The DNC and powers that be want Biden to be the nominee because they think he has the best chance of beating Trump. That was literally his main point during the entire primaries.

    The debates should be interesting.

Again, that is not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that you sound like a broken record with this unsubstantiated theory you keep propping up.

I think that someone should drop out of the race when it becomes clear that they have no viable path to election. Bernie Sanders has no current path towards viability. He should therefore drop out of the race. The Democratic primary is run with proportional delegates and Bernie needs to collect 2/3 of of the remaining delegates. There is no realistic path where he can win 2/3 of the remaining delegates. The number of states he would need to win close to or over 85% of the electorate just simply doesn't exist.

I don't believe I'm the only person who thinks that.

I do believe I may be the only person in these forums that thinks thatÖand that is somewhat surprising.

I doubt you are the only person who thinks this. However, you are the one and only source I've heard this theory from.

Iím just pointing to the downturn of it overall. Itís decaying and that usually leads to a rise of authoritarian power and corporations controlling more and more power in the death throws.

Hereís how I read it. Capitalism will always be regulated in some form, and the balance has shifted back and forth over the years in this country. It seems to be crumbling, however, in large part because now the corporations are almost completely in charge of dictating the regulations, to the point where there could soon be no balance.
Yes. And Weíre blended capitalism and socialism anyway. But weíve let business control far too much without accountability and the people have either been silenced or convinced to support the corporate control.

The sad part is they havenít even tried to buy off the people with social elements like Heathcare. Wonít even present the illusion.

A decent third party candidate could be interesting. (Is Hilly listening???) If there are three candidates it is very possible that Trump does not get 50% of the vote. Then (I think) it goes to the house for some sort of election. I'm not sure of the mechanics of it. It's never happened during my lifetime.

But all the aspects of the 2020 election are interesting. Half the country hates Trump. Biden seems semi-alhzeimers, every one is pretty much disgusted with everything political, the corona crap will cause some to want to postpone the election and also question the outcome to death since it may cause a lot of people to not vote. There's a ;lot of angles here that ave never happened before.

Think of a third party candidate. The third party is a hand picked Dem. (Is Hilly listening???) Biden, the third party and Trump run. No one gets a majority. It goes to the House (I think). Now the Dem controlled house can comfortably ignore Biden and choose the third party candidate. (Is Hilly listening???)

It's really not that far fetched.

    Anything could happen.
The system is just broken all around. Even with hated candidates on both sides in 2016 and again this time, itís not likely that a third will hit a meaningful threshold.

It will remain this way until we have instant runoff voting. But since the politicians who have to allow that are directly hurt by it, it will never happen.

Sanders dropped out of the race today.

    That happened.
