An unnamed NBA scout suggests Harrison Barnes is the next Kobe Bryant

I'm watching the re-run from last night's Team USA vs World Team game in which every NBA scout and GM was present to watch the game. Apparently one of the scout's claimed they were there to watch the next Kobe Bryant, as in Harrison Barnes who has been compared to Kobe/Grant Hill.

He's widely projected to be the #1 pick in 2011.

The kid seems perfect, he talks like Tiger Woods. He won 3 State Championships in Iowa, Has a 3.6 GPA, Plays the Saxophone, leads Bible study for his church, and plans to take golf lessons in order to close out business deals when he becomes a professional.

How good do you guys think he will be? It seems like this kid has the total package of what you'd want to be the face of a NBA franchise. He might be the type of player to tank for [LA Clippers].

You know when it's "unnamed" it's a bunch of BS.

He looks like LeBron without roids and a headband.

The local news in Iowa has basically conducted a special about Harrison Barnes. Seriously.

    Part 1
    Part 3

The more I am learning about him the more I can't help but root for this guy. He is the anti-LeBron.

Hes going to stay since he signed his LOI, I wouldn't be surprised if UNC was a Top 5 team next year with the addition of Barnes and 2 other McDonalds All American's in Bullock and Marshall. As long as guys like Henson, Davis, and Strickland don't go pro.

At 6'8 210 lbs, he literally is the perfect fit at SG or SF.

This kid is going to be good to say the least.

I bet most scouts would say he needs to bulk up when entering the NBA.

He'll bulk up... LeBron wasn't the biggest guy out there when he first came into the NBA.

there's a "next best thing" every year in the draft.

oden/durant, rose, blake, john wall, etc. well, maybe except for bargnani's year.
