This I will agree. I hate how the Cowboys fans keep saying 2017 was an outlier due to this season. There are a ton of factors as to why he could be bad this season. He’s definitely a huge part as to why he’s been bad but if you want to discredit 2017, 2018 and 2019 were plenty solid years that aren’t so distant memories.
I’m not ready to completely move on from Wentz because I doubt the dude just magically started sucking with 2020 being his norm.
I think it’s easy for Cowboys fans to point how he sucks this year to argue his 2017 season but completely overlook 2018-2019z wasn’t a world beater then, but dude was still an above average QB considering talent level then.

Depends how you look at it. 2019 is closer to 2020 then his 2017 year.
Eagle fans IMO overlooked what a blah season Wentz had because of the surrounding talent and the fact that the eagles won the division.
Wentz is essentially a 3600 yards 25 TDs 10 int guy if you average out his years.
He’s thrown a few more INTs this year but everything else is basically on par.
I think his offense is probably fine
It’s the playcalling that could not be more off. Listening to zangaro and frank talk about it was pretty informative
Saying how 2017 it was like every play Doug called, every 4th down, every 2 point just nailed it
Now he’s fallen off a cliff. It’s pretty much the opposite. Scariest part about Doug is his pressers where he says things like he doesn’t know how many run plays we’ve run, doesn’t know how many roll outs weve done
Dude is out of touch

Read the description.. interesting stuff.. Some BIG CHANGES might happen on the eagles coaching staff this offseason if the offense doesn’t improve in a hurry.
This is how I feel too. Anybody that says this year is closer to normal for wentz is possibly brain dead. He’s proved time and time again that he can be a franchise QB.
That being said, he’s CLEARLY not playing like a franchise QB right now for whatever reason. I’m not ready to give up on wentz completely, but I do think benching him for a short while might do him some good and clear his mind so he can work on whatever is effecting him, off the field.
Lol what? His TD% was lower but in 2019 his INT% was closer to 2017 than 2020. Yards per game closer to 2017 than 2020. Comp% better than both. QBR closer to 2017 than 2020.
So how is 2019 closer to 2020 again?
If you factor in what he had to work with last year, it’s arguable to say it was his best season.
He also averages closer to 4000 yards, 11ints, 27 TDs off of what he’s done rookie year through now.
That’s still not fantastic but would’ve put him 12th in yards, 5th in TDs, 14th (worst) in 2019. 13th, 11th, 15th in 2018.
Ironically he had the 9th most yards, 5th most TDs, and top 10 in least INTs in 2019.
So he’s probably hovering around that 13th ish rank right now. That’s also just taking all his numbers including the 2017 and 2020 season.
It’s safer today he’s 2018-2019 Carson than 2020 Carson unless the dude has just lost it.
