Agreed. Heís a rare QB that actually makes throws easier on himself because defenses try to defend against the threat of him running

Skip bayless said he thinks Andy dalton would win 10 games with these cowboys. Iím not sure I agree with that number, but I do think that they can still be in the playoff hunt with dalton

I personally have never used wins to judge a player in any sport. I think itís the single most egregious use of a stat. Wins should never be assigned to a single player unless you play tennis, golf, bowling, racing, etc. IE, youíre the only one responsible for the outcome.

For sure. I've always thought judging QBs just on Super Bowl wins is silly too. Like nobody thinks Eli Manning is better than, say, Dan Marino. I think this is especially true in football.

It's another version of fantasy football scoring.....where players get points based on all the various stat categories involved with their position, but all stat categories are weighted differently. The disagreements lie is just what weight various categories should be given.
    gotta love 'referential' treatment

It will depend on how the defense plays. I think if the defense plays well, and with the offensive weapons this team has 10 wins would be best case scenario. Dalton played his best when he had weapons and a good OL which heíll have in Dallas. Again though, it will really all come down to how the defense plays.

No Eagles fan here has ever argued that "you judge a quarterback based on wins".

Besides, one could easily make this meme about Cowboys fans:

Dak Prescott Top 10 stats in every category
"Do you think Dak is a good QB solely because of his stats?"
    - "Yup, he was great last year. MVP caliber."

"What about context like his supporting cast on offense?"
    - "Context? lmao. What next: the eye test?"

"So Dak deserves to get paid?"
    - "Yes. He is our franchise QB."

    "Like $40 million per year?"
    - "We can go 10-6 with Andy Dalton because our weapons and OL are elite."

"So Dak must be a good quarterback."
    - "Yup, he's elite."

"Is it right to judge a QB solely by stats?"
    - "What else would you use? The 'eye test'? lmao"

"An elite QB deserves to be paid like one, doesn't he?"
    - "Yes. Dak is our franchise QB."

Thing is the only thing that cowboy fans could argue for the first 3 years was about wins because Daks stats everywhere else wasnít that great. Surf actually said ďwins are all that matter for a QBĒ. And then they started to argue that Daks stats were better than wentz in games where wentz didnít play which didnít make sense, but it happened. Now last year they are finally starting to bring up actual stats because finally dak put up respectable numbers with the stacked offense around him.
