The real question is, what would Jefferson look like as the #1 receiver in Minnesota with 2 practice squad guys as the 2/3 along side him.

Then we can look at a more apple to apple situation.

Iíve seen nothing to suggest that if the roles were reversed that there would be some huge disparity.
Maybe not, and I am by no means saying Reagor is bad. I just think itís tough when the Eagles are seeming to have a hard time scouting WRs. Jefferson was a slam dunk pick and he is proving it.

Whatever we have better things to talk about now that the Eagles have lost again.

    NFCE 2020 Season Discussion Thread

Iím thinking itís funny the Eagles chose Reagor over Jefferson when they went back to back and thus it is ripe for comparison (especially when most considered Reagor a reach and Jefferson a likely impact receiver).

    Not hard to grasp tbh.
I mean...itís halfway through a rookie season. Jefferson might end up a one year wonder. Reagor might end up a stud. Let their rookie contracts play out first.

Reminds me of when people jumped on the Steelers for taking Bell over Lacy halfway into their rookie year. By year 3 Lacy ate his way out of the league and Bell was the best back in the league.

Iím convinced Pederson needs to go.

When asked if there was any thought to playing Hurts he said ďitís a sign to the guys you gave up on the season.Ē

Not really. When your QB is playing as badly as Wentz is right now it's a message that the play of the highest paid player on the roster isn't acceptable and nobody is safe if they aren't pulling their weight. I don't think going to Hurts will turn anything around, but this notion that you can't bench your franchise QB is ridiculous.

My thoughts are similar to what Casper said.

Eagles need a game to be so far out in the 4th that playing Hurts is just a no duh move. Got to see what you got in him before this off-season.

Just glad they are smart enough not to overreact and realize that heís the best qb on the roster and our best chance to win.

It's true that he's almost certainly the best QB on the roster, but his play right now is not acceptable. Neither is Doug's play calling, nor is the construction of this roster, but doing the same thing and expecting different results is the definition of insanity.

On the contrary, Wentz is doing this to himself. He's been put in a pretty terrible situation, but it doesn't excuse his decision making. If things go just as poorly with Hurts if not worse, it is vindication for Wentz. If sitting Wentz immediately improves the offense, it proves Wentz is very much culpable for this **** show. For those same reasons are exactly why Doug won't do it because if he makes that change and it blows up in his face he is writing his own obituary.
