    CB Nickell Robey-Coleman to Eagles

Eagles land one of the best slot corners in the NFL. Nice.

Eagles keep going after former Buffalo Bills in the Jim Schwartz era.

According to Pro Football Focus, Robey-Coleman was the 19th-best cover corner in football through 17 weeks last year. He allowed just an 80.1 passer rating and 0.63 yards per slot coverage snap. He also recorded 36 total tackles and seven passes defensed in 16 games.

The rumors that the Eagles are shopping Rasul Douglas in a trade certainly seem truer than ever. There has been a growing sense that Douglas isnít a good fit for the slot and the Eagles just inked one of the best slot corners in football. The writing is on the wall there. Meanwhile, Nickell Robey-Coleman may get a chance to compete for a starting job in Philly.

Robey-Coleman is a disciple of Jim Schwartz, too. He played under Schwartz when he was the defensive coordinator up in Buffalo in 2014. The cornerback played in 16 games, including seven starts, and finished with 48 tackles, seven passes defensed and even picked up a sack. The move makes sense considering Schwartzís penchant for reuniting with his former players in other cities (see: Ronald Darby, Darius Slay, Nigel Bradham, Leodis McKelvin, Corey Graham, etc.).
    Dak: 15,778 @ 65.8%, 7.6 per att, 97+21 TD, 36 INT+31 FMB, 97.0 Rate
    Wentz: 14,191 @ 63.8%, 6.9 per att, 97+3 TD, 35 INT+48 FMB, 92.7 Rate

"Hater" is a term used by weak minded people in the face of legitimate criticism.

Slay and Maddox the starters on the outside. Robey-Coleman and LeBlanc battling for the starting slot CB. Mills and McLeod starting safties. Park as the 3rd safety and Jones as the 5th CB? Not bad. Gonna be an offense heavy draft.

Solid signing but they are really stockpiling slot corners for some reason.

Good signing. Canít go wrong when you sign a guy to one year just above the league minimum.

Not really. Maddox is going to play on the outside. Robey-Coleman and LeBlanc will be the inside CB's. Jones is the 5th CB. Schwartz also likes his safties to be able to drop down and play in the slot as well. Enter Mills and Parks. Get the feeling the Eagles will be playing a lot more dime. They had a lot of success with their dime sub package down the stretch last season.

Maddox, LeBlac, and now Robey-Coleman are all best suited in the slot.

The Eagles like Maddox or Jones to win the CB2 opposite Slay. Jones can't seem to stay on the field. He is always hurt. I think the Eagles are ready to move on from both Rasul Douglas and Sidney Jones.

It's a shame because Jones was so talented in college

Eagles fans get this through your head, Maddox barring injury will be the starter opposite Slay when the Eagles take the field week 1. Schwartz loves Maddox.
