I could make that pledge, but any one with a blacklight would know that I was lying.

This is exactly why you DO make those trades if it were available... Which of course it wouldn't be because those other teams would laugh at that proposal...

Syndergaard has been mostly hype his whole career. He never could break through, only reached 30 starts twice... Wish we traded him while his stock was high, but just like we did with Harvey when I wanted to trade him after 2015 when his stock rose again, we waited and got nothing in return... Same will happen with Syndergaard now.

Organization still doesn't know how to build a sustainable winner regardless of who is in charge.
I've been itching to get rid of Noah for a while, but not because of injury concerns. I was concerned that he was actually gradually declining from his peak the last season and a half. Now his declining performance is still better than most pitchers best days but he was still under performing.

I think everyone reading this will roll their eyes when I say this, because I've said it on here many times. He is a pitcher who never reached his potential with some of the greatest "stuff" in the game. Never turned the corner from a really good pitcher to an ace. I would have trade him at the deadline if the price was right, however I wouldn't dump him for nothing because he is still very valuable. He's still young enough to get back to where he was 2 seasons ago, but he doesn't seem to be heading in the right direction.

One of my closest friends is a cardiac nurse and has been dealing with corona virus patients, my aunt has been testing people all week...I know how to be on top of my hygiene and stay away from germs - as nuanced as that sounds. My upstairs neighbor got the virus so everybody in my family has been on high alert but everyone seems fine.

I’m trying to live my life to the best of my ability but obviously, you can only do so much when you’re stuck at home. I was thinking about buying a basketball hoop for my backyard but like a lot of other people, moneys super tight right now.
Hey buddy......If you want to send me a place to have it delivered I will order a hoop for you. I'm one of the lucky ones where my business is on the "essential" list so I still go to work everyday and I know how much of a privilege that is right now. I have been looking into some worthwhile places to help, and why not start with my fellow Mets PSD family.

PM me if you want me to have one sent to you. I'm serious. Stay safe!

Looks like Syndergaard owns thousands in rent, but he claims the landlord is trying to extort him.

I wouldn't pay 27 thousand dollars a month if my career was potentially in jeopardy either.

Did he say he isn't afraid of the truth?

I don’t know what the laws are in NY, but in NJ, he is on the hook for the entire lease. The landlord must attempt to rent the place, but Noah is responsible for any reasonable economical impact
i.e. say the landlord rents it for $25K per month, Noah owes $24K (12 months x $2K)...but the landlord can’t just go rent it for like $2K and expect Noah to be on the hook for $300K (12 months x $25K)
