Glad to see Mike Reinsdorf bringing in modern/open-minded NBA execs for interviews, who fit the current culture of the league. These are the type of guys that will be able to bring in top-end coaches and lure star FAs.

I just hope Paxson sits in an office somewhere and doesn’t interfere with any basketball decisions. I actually wouldn’t mind Pax running the whole scouting and talent evaluation side of things as an Advisor. He’s excelled at drafting at whatever position the Bulls were at in the lottery. Forman however, needs to be put on the same one-way flight with Boylen out of Chicago.

Yeah, Raps dude has to be plan A. If he really is responsible for the Kawhi trade, that alone is enough for me. Having an aggressive mindset is something this organization has lacked for 20+ years. Add in the potential player development and that could be a great hire.

Sources tell*The Athletic*they are Toronto GM Bobby Webster, Denver GM Arturas Karnisovas, Indiana GM Chad Buchanan and Miami vice president of player personnel and assistant general manager Adam Simon.

More could be added to the mix, but the Bulls, sources say, will not pursue Toronto president of basketball operations Masai Ujiri or longtime Oklahoma City exec Sam Presti, marquee names some fans hoped the team’s frustrated ownership would present with a blank check.*

I’d be in on this. Apparently he’s gonna revamp the whole FO and coaching staff.

For the first time in a while, I’m actually excited about the Bulls.

The Nuggets have built quite a roster over the years. They have a star (Jokic), an All-Star level guy (Murray), and have had deep rosters for several years. Clearly their scouting department is top notch.

Can't really control who's dropping out of these things, but I'd be cool with this guy. Just get a forward thinking guy in there, get rid of Paxson, and start acting like a large market team FFS.

Yep they’ve developed and accumulated a lot of great assets. They know what they’re doing. Let’s give this dude a shot.

I'd say in terms of young assets and the on court product they are producing, they are in one of the better positions of any team in the NBA. OKC is pretty high up there too. Both teams have big windows for success. I'd be extremely happy with this addition.

The idea that he wants to overhaul the scouting department is really encouraging. IIRC the Bulls have one of the smallest scouting departments in the entire league, which makes no sense for a Chicago based team. They're pretty far behind in terms of analytics too.
