Gotcha. I misinterpreted the praying emoji.

I fully agree. Worry about issues that may come with the treatment, when it happens.

    Reason I don't like emoji's LOL

What I have gathered regarding the NYC trials. Outcomes from the experiment will be gathered electronically and contribute to an “observational” trial being coordinated by CDC or NIH. In an observational trial, which is considered less rigorous than a controlled trial comparing a treatment with a placebo, researchers see if a therapy is safe and effective by gathering and comparing the results in a large database.

In addition to mortality and overall recovery, the study will measure patients’ overall viral load, duration on a ventilator and number of days in the hospital.

The FDA would not comment on any aspects of the massive New York experimental effort, citing confidentiality rules.

The Mount Sinai Health System this week plans to initiate a procedure known as plasmapheresis, where the antibodies from patients who have recovered from COVID-19 will be transferred into critically ill patients with the disease, with the expectation that the antibodies will neutralize it.

I actually rooted for that 86 team. I watched more Met games with WOR that year. I think I saw maybe 5 Yankee games that year u til they started broadcasting 2 games a week on an independent station back in 1987...
This makes you look petty and even more ridiculous than this forum already thinks you are btw.

And that's coming from fellow Yankee fans. Yikes.

The teams we root for have nothing to do with why the president is a moron and why you've been wrong throughout the entirety of this thread.

Most of the major Pharma are working on this. My wife's company is doing it with another company.

The other really interesting thing some Drs and Pharma believe is the route to go involves testing. Not testing for the virus but testing to see who will be seriously affected and who won't be. If you were someone who wouldn't be, you could go back to work. If you are someone who would be, you stay clear till the vaccine is ready to go.,

I think at this point the better testing would be to test people for anti bodies to the virus . Those that have them can go back to work

This is an interesting new approach. It's based in part on the herd immunity thinking. I mentioned it a week or so ago. It's also called Convalescent plasma. The plasma is collected from patients who've recovered from COVID19 and is rich in antibodies to coronavirus, essentially immunizing a sick patient with another person's antibodies.

What if the recovered person refuses to help? Bc I'm sure it'll happen.

I would assume it's strictly volunteer, akin to blood donation.

I'm sorry, even diehard supporters would have to question the soundness of judgement. Calling a deadly Pandemic a Hoax then saying if 200,000 die, you’ve done a great job.

It should be mandatory part of testing/hospital stay.

USS Comfort is now docked in NY.

Within 24 hours the ship will be ready for patients.

Excellent work by the navy to get the ship up running and ready a week ahead of schedule.

Last time the ship was in NY was during the 9/11 recovery efforts. Certainly brings back some memories.

Also thanks to Trump for the order sending it here.

Some opinions are more based in fact than others. Like the president being an idiot. There are enough examples of that through his speech, through his tweets, through his actions, etc.

Most people in higher levels of government just don't give a **** about American people. It has nothing to do with their intelligence.

No one in the govt gives a damned about the average tax payer . That is a fact and the sooner that is accepted , the divisive politics would end
