Bad week for Trump. In terms of news, Bannon's arrest, court rulings on taxes, Senate Intel docs, polls; in terms of narcissistic injury - BOTH Obamas' stellar speeches, great DNC, QAnon and Susan B Anthony reactions. The more he flails, the more he isolates and flies solo.

The more he isolates, the more his Dunning Kruger kicks in, and he starts listening to HIS instincts, predicated on false realities he has started to believe. This pushes him further behind in polls, and although that is good, it's also dangerous as his desperation grows.

Biden is no pansy. He can be tough as nails when the situ warrants. Don't mistake his empathy for weakness.
I'd be all for Biden using Trump's tactics, it'd be hilarious watching both of them hurling insults back and forth lol, I just don't think it'll work for Biden. Trump would absolutely kill him playing that game.

4 years ago, I think Biden handles him in that style debate.
Now he can’t. First reason, he has clearly slowed. Second reason, he can’t go there because any fence sitters that want a stable person, will fall into trumps lap

I do agree. It would be epic

Nah 28 that is not what I'm suggesting. That isn't Bidens style or in his playbook. I meant don't confuse him empathy for weakness. He's a tough guy who can stand his ground. He won't stoop to Trump's level, but he can bring it when the situ warrants. He won't back down or be bullied as Trump is prone to do.

"Stable person" and "Trump" should not exist in the same sentence together.

Biden looks like the type who would curl up in the corner in the fetal position as soon as Trump comes at him. Biden doesn't want that smoke.
As much as I think she's an absolute C word, Hillary would've taken it and fought back. Biden looks like even more of a pansy than Obama.

As I said earlier the cracks are forming in the foundation. 26 Republicans voted with Democrats 257-150 for the House postal service relief bill - a rebuke of Trump. Pelosi had expected just a handful.

Dr, both parties jump sides a lot. You act like every single bill has to be perfect down the party lines.

    Cracks are forming?

Hell, the Democrats crack is not a gaping hole and they are already split down the middle. Cortez said the DNC was geared towards white moderates and her side of the party was left out In the cold.

Mein Kampf (My Struggle). The book brought together, in inflamed language, the racialist and expansionist ideas he had been propagating in his popular beer-hall harangues.

Shortly thereafter, a fire broke out in the Reichstag building in Berlin, and authorities arrested a young Dutch communist who confessed to starting it. Hitler used this episode to convince President Hindenburg to declare an emergency decree suspending many civil liberties throughout Germany, including freedom of the press, freedom of expression, and the right to hold public assemblies. The police were authorized to detain citizens without cause, and the authority usually exercised by regional governments became subject to control by Hitler’s national regime.

Just a little literature I found interesting and to have some parallels with our country.

    Throw in Steven Miller

Miller is famously vindictive, and, as Trump runs for a second term, he is sure to grow only more powerful. “Miller doesn’t have to get Trump to believe everything he does,” one of the officials told me. “He just has to get Trump to say it all.”

Trump delivered a policy speech on immigration, written by Miller. It was typically raucous and aggressive, full of racist fearmongering, but it also contained a detailed blueprint. “Our immigration system is worse than anyone realizes,” Trump began. “Countless Americans who have died in recent years would be alive today if not for the open-border policies of this Administration.”

The position gave him proximity to the President and insulation from congressional scrutiny; he would issue, rather than implement, orders. “The rest of us have to testify before Congress. That’s a check. If you’re going to have your *** hauled before Congress, you’re not going to feel comfortable breaking the law,” a former top Administration official told me. “Miller will never have to testify for anything.”

Miller is terrifying. Trump is becoming his mouthpiece. The OAN stuff? The QAnon stuff?

If all this isn't Hitler-esque. I don't know what is.

I may have not been clear. I was referring to Biden acting stable. Not the Cheeto

Nah, I knew what you meant. Was simply saying that if voters see being stable as a critical quality, there's no way Trump should even be on their radar (despite that he's a "stable genius").

This makes a lot of sense. Goes well with the idea that masks are infringing on our freedom, **** the science, and that the virus will go away "like a miracle".

That is not at all what I am suggesting. This close to an election I read this vote as a rebuke and referendum on Trump's re-election. 27 R's had the guts to stand up and be counted. Finally putting the people over party. I tip my hat.

The cracks to which I reffered are in the orange make up he packs on. In all seriousness, I firmly believe many R's are looking to jump the sinking ship, and almost any excuse will do.

So if he wins at all, it will be viewed as a landslide because of the popular vote.

Trump is a beast regarding campaigning and getting his base to vote. He also revels in. dirty fights. The more Biden falls into that trap, the worse he will look. He essentially has to stand tall, not take crap, not allow Trump to lie but do it all with a calm, controlled demeanor and never get insulting.

I can't believe that his base doesn't get up in arms about the post office and what's happening to it or that their money was stolen by his advisor or the myriad of other transgressions.
These are not bright people. They have decided that the only truth, is what he says is truth. The news is all fake. People continue to defend him even after he's flat out lied to their faces, over and over, time after time.

There is a saying, you can't pour maple syrup over a pile of poop and tell me it's pancakes. Trumpers just take the pile of poop and believe it's pancakes because he says so. he doesn't even need maple syrup to sell it.
I would be worried there are a lot of silent Trump supporters out there. People who publicly won't take that stand because its become toxic but on Election day will still vote for Trump. Not to mention, there has to be concern among Democrats about turn out and if there is a lack of turn out, what the mail balloting system will look like. Trump and his campaign are trying extremely hard to stop these states from providing significant access to mail in ballots. He knows that is detrimental to his re-election chances.

We will find out in November. I think Biden has the advantage as we speak because Trump doesn't have a lot to campaign on. The civil unrest, the mishandling of the pandemic, the current state of the economy, etc are all under his watch. How do you make America great again or keep America great when its in the current state that it is in?
