Never said other states were immune to it. I'm just going with 3rd grade math. Statistical probabilities are higher that the players caught it in a state with more cases. I'm not blaming DeSantis for the Mets getting it. I'm blaming him for openly ignoring the virus which makes conditions more likely for this to happen again.

I think I've been pretty consistent in that stance as well. States (regardless of who they are led by) who do nothing or openly boast they have something under control when they don't, deserve criticism.

I wonder if jello lad, presumes because we rip desantis that any of us think he’s the only governor who’s done a bad job?

I mean, even though we have all talked about quite a few governors who have been bad, including cuomo

You can’t say players that got sick in one state because of higher mathematical probability and then dismiss the Same amount of players getting infected in another state as “ no state being immune to it “ . That just doesn’t make any sense at all . All the players got infected because the virus is in every state regardless of who is governor and what that governor’s response is .

You made the case for Canada not allowing the Blue Jays to cross the border. Infact you nade the case for not letting players play outside of a bubble. Games should be played in a bubble in the NY. PENNSYLANIA, NJ, Connecticut Region. For the Eastern teams. Maybe add in New England States.

Of course I can. Just because they can get the virus anywhere doesn't mean they aren't more susceptible to it in specific places. Your state sucks at containing this thing, mainly because they choose to ignore it. That in turn puts people's lives in danger because Florida is a heavily populated state where people are traveling to and from everyday.

That's definitely not true. If you had a choice to vacation in Florida or Massachusetts at the moment and you were concerned with the virus, where would you go? The state that has 7500 new cases a day in the last 2 months or the state that has averaged 200+ a day?

Where are you more likely to get it?

Actually I made a case that mlb should not have let it he marlins play in Florida and in a bubble because Canada refused to let the blue jays play at home . In other words I blamed the mlb for the marlins outbreak not any politicians or leaders because the virus is everywhere not just in Florida . The cards outbreak proves that. I originally wanted the teams to be in a bubble like in the nba .

I live in Florida and I am not overly concerned about the virus . My sister lives in nyc where more people died of the virus than any other state in the country , but she still drove here from ny with her children and has spent the whole summer here . And btw I have family members who have rental property here on an air bnb site and they haven’t had trouble renting it out this summer

As for where I would more likely to get it , with how it has infected every state in the country and how people are free to travel from state to state by the millions , I am equally likely to get the virus
from any state I go to . Now if you asked that question a couple months ago the answer may have
    Been different .

You should be. Your sister was safer here this summer than she is by you. I am sure they haven't because American people don't give a **** about their fellow citizens. They give a **** about their freedoms because this is Murica'. Virus be damned then we wonder why the rest of the world has a better handle on this thing than we do.

And no you're not equally likely to get it irrespective of the state that you are in. Statistical probabilities don't work that way.

And someone doesn’t get that people from states with high infection rates have traveled all over this country by the millions since the pandemic started . And unknowingly spread the virus as well .

I understand that just fine, thanks. Not sure you do though. Small groups of people traveling from a state with much higher infection rates to a state with much lower infection rates don’t suddenly make the latter type of state just as risky to be out and about in as the latter.

Not really. A national mask mandate would have actually prevented the very thing you're pointing out. Because there wasn't one and because our idiot in chief is constantly spreading disinformation and downplaying the virus, we are in the situation we are currently in, with everyone doing what they want.
