I agree in part. Certain parts of the country are seeing increased rates, while others are stable or in decline. Overall not a pretty picture. Hoping all is well.

NBA and NHL will be fine in their bubbles imo. Still a wait and see on MLB, but they're not even 2 weeks in and already having a good amount of games rescheduled.

I'm glad sports are back. Gives some normality to life again. Hope they stay.

I think the bigger question is if we don't have a handle on covid by winter time will NBA and NHL start normal seasons again? Can't see players and teams wanting to be in a bubble for full seasons. 2 months or so like they're doing now isn't bad, but ~8 months like a normal NBA and NHL season would be a tough ask.

If the MLB players don’t screw it up then we will have our season. I just don’t trust this generation of players, they feel invincible. They go out still and probably don’t practice social distancing and wear their face masks.

This is likely linked to Florida closing all of their state run testing centers last week in anticipation of an incoming hurricane. No new tests, no new cases!

Bc they were over 80% done w the regular season. Next season is going to start around Xmas time.

They should keep it Dec-Aug/Sep going forward. Then they don't have to compete with MLB playoffs or the NFL viewers except for about 6 weeks of NFL playoffs.
