Cuomo, in retrospect, was in error. However at the time he was following guidelines established by the TRUMP administration. Doesn't in any way excuse the decision, however offers context and some perspective.

"I just want to reiterate once again that the policy that the Department of Health put out was in line directly with the March 13 directive put out by (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) that read, and I quote, 'Nursing homes should admit any individuals from hospitals where Covid is present,'" said Secretary to the Governor Melissa DeRosa on Saturday during a briefing. "Not could, should ... that is President (Donald) Trump's CMS and CDC.

"There are over a dozen states that did the exact same thing, many of whom were concerned about hospital capacity. ... Obviously any death is an unfortunate death," DeRosa said, listing the totals from other states amongst New York's. "It's been a national and international tragedy that everybody has had to grapple with and it is something that we're trying to learn from every day and move forward."

Dr, Cuomo is the Gov. He makes his own decisions for his State. You were telling us a few months ago that Trump will soon realize that he is not King. Cuomo screwed up big time!

NYC is the most densely populated major city in the country with a density of 27,000 people per sq. mile. Fla. is 354.4 people per sq. mile.

    Deny and deflect.

You have not answered or responded to the charge re: DeSantis. Why? Because his behavior is indefensible? Why is he cooking the books?

Dr, where was DeBlasio and Cuomo with preparation with a crisis? The #1 city in the World with regards to travel and those two were not ready? Hell, they knew about this in Dec and January and those two bumpkins still dropped the ball.

My objection isn't to the firing! My issue is with the fudged numbers and blatant attempt at a cover up. Trump has ushered in the belief that politicians (particularly R's) are above the law, have absolute authority and can abuse their power to further self serving interests.
Like the Dems donít fudge numbers either.....

He has spent more time playing golf, AT HIS OWN branded properties, in three years than Obama did in 8 by a very wide margin.

I love golf, I would be more than willing to grant him the concession, IF he wasn't such a hypocrite!

Trump golf count to date: 251 trips (at his own branded courses)

Cost to the US taxpayer: $134,000,000 = 335 years of US Presidential salary.

The Secret Service has spent more than $765,000 to rent golf carts at trump properties alone.
Dr, does Trump get a paycheck?

No he doesnít. Golf is covered with that alone...so save the taxpayer crap.....

Trump has made a show of giving away his paycheck, donating his salary to the National Park Service, the Department of Education, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Small Business Administration, the Surgeon General's office and the Department of Agriculture......

Thankfully Cuomo and Deblasio moved faster than the president or Desantis.

I'm not saying they were good. They were just less bad and arguably, far more honest with the citizens in their state/country.

    That's not exactly accurate.

Many of the democratic states have a much higher population. Another reason is, those states have more densely populated regions in which the virus transmits quickly.
Another reason is accuracy of reporting the numbers

I fully agree on your list of 4 things, I think 5 are needed.

    1. Trump did nothing to expedite any part of the process and was extremely slow to respond. Not just in the eyes of many of us but also in the eyes of the rest of the world, where he's been heavily criticized. While I know that some don't care what the rest of the world thinks, I would suggest considering that if the whole world says it's a duck and more than half of this country says it's a duck, it's a ****ing duck.
