I said it before and I'll say it again. Cuomo sucks. He dropped the ball, as usual. I thought he was too slow to lock it down and this is the result.

I agree. But in a unified country with a president less concerned with getting over on one party or the other and who is a good leader, I think the country closes faster and is up and running faster.

I think Cuomo screwed the pooch but I think Trump held the pooch in place, to be screwed.

Don't disagree that Trump dropped the ball. But I'm tired of hearing how great Cuomo is doing from some people. He is not a good leader.

Where I think Cuomo succeeded and trump horribly failed was in his ability to communicate what was happening honestly.

At the end of the day, they both failed but I think Cuomo failed less and I would trust him more than Trump.

I'm not saying I trust him. I just trust him more than Trump.

I fully understand if you disagree.

RC ,Yes his response was slow. Guilty as charged. The federal response was slower. Once Cuomo acted he did so decisively. He told the truth. He reassured people, not by cheerleading, but laying out the reality that confronted us! Keep in mind NYC is an international hub, more traffic passes thru NYC metro than any place in country. The odds were not in our favor. But there are no excuses. I agree. He should be held accountable.

Be that as it may, I said it before and I'll say it again, I would feel a hellva lot safer and sleep sounder if Cuomo was running the show at the federal level.

I'd feel much safer if neither of them had any kind of power. But it appears neither party can put forward a decent option these days.

This just goes back to the lesser of two evils. I don't think we should have to deal with such nonsense when it comes down to it.

Yes Cuomo has done a better job after his initial **** up. Trump has continued to drop the ball, I don't disagree with that, at all.

To be fair to Cuomo, you have a president in office who still doesn't understand the magnitude of this virus and its May 7th. Cuomo, Murphy (in NJ), Lamont (in CT) were all slow to respond. The tri-state area should have been shut down before California was and going back to those initial cases in Westchester county. These states knew how many people traveled back and forth to NY for work, travel, leisure, etc.

Cuomo has been out there on the front lines everyday answering the tough questions honestly. He's been outspoken in regards to getting aid for NY, he's partnered with other states to buy PPE, he's extended moratoriums for coronavirus related evictions until August, he's signed an executive order authorizing 5,000 pharmacies in NY to do antibody testing, etc.

New York was in a bad spot no matter what.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/08/n...se-delays.html

Epidemiologists have pointed to New York Cityís density and its role as an international hub of commerce and tourism to explain why the coronavirus has spread so rapidly. And it seems highly unlikely that any response by the state or city could have fully stopped the pandemic.
Earlier action would have skewed the numbers in our favor but we were an easy place for this to spread and spread quickly.

I love how the Washington State Governor said today that no sporting event, concerts, ect will NOT happen In her State UNTIL A VACCINE IS READY...

I knew this **** was going to happen...

The divide is getting larger each day with the Dems vs the Republicans and it has started with the Governorís.

The Republicans want to open while the Dems want to sit in their misery.

    Until a vaccine?

    Really?

So NO SPORTING EVENTS, CONCERTS OR ANY GATHERINGS IN HER STATE UNTIL A VACCINE.

    WOW!

This is the Dems response to Georgia for being the first State to start Phase 1 of reopening...

    Ms Biotch is a joke!

This has nothing to do with protecting the State of Washington. This is HER TRY8NG TO BE A QUEEN!

But Trump is not the KING, right? To quote a lot of you on here, Trump will see who is boss with the States.

So basically no matter what Trump would have said the Gov of NY would have done whatever he pleased.

This is on Cuomo on a lot of issues in this Country and his State of NY.

I love how Comey and Co wanted to ruin Gen Flynn

    DOJ drops charges..

What a scam and a sham...

Another way to show their anger of Trump winning the 2016 Election....

I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies. It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful. There was nothing to hide!

Trump left it up to the states. He was a big advocate of state's rights when he definitely should have intervened. The problem is he didn't take the virus seriously enough. Look we all know New York acted slowly but this being a country wide problem is not on the state of New York. Its mainly on China for misleading people (and hoarding PPE) and the federal government for not taking an aggressive stance with this.

If there is testing out there in February and March, we're further along in our recovery and less people are dead.

I don't know what you are hoping for. Anyone who has looked at this certainly has admitted New York has its own culpability. Not nearly as much as the president though. You could argue otherwise but you would be wrong.

If you click on States you will see the decline in a lot of States....this is a good sign folks. Baseball and Sports will return this summer as this virus hates the heat and sunlight.

But the Country has been divided by the virus as the Dems opting to stay hidden under their covers and the Republicans want to be out in the sunlight....

Washington State Gov said yesterday that her State will basically stay shutdown UNTIL THERE IS A VACCINE.....ok, good luck with that.
