Because there is a very dangerous virus that could potentially kill a very large amount of people and cripple the world economy and sometimes, people want to vent.

Again, have perspective. Italy has made the choice that because of overcrowding, people over 80 will not receive ventilators. They are basically saying, sorry. You are going to die so we can try and save those with a better chance.

Consider this. In NYC, if cases go to 100k, a very small percentage of the population, 20 thousand will need to be in a hospital. Where will they find space? Where will they find the workers with the skills needed to care for those people?
Now think of what happens if 500k get sick. Still only less than 10% of the population, but now you have 100 thousand people in the hospital.

That's the biggest concern.

Then think of the economic implications.

Mush. I laughed at this thing when it was first being talked about. 100% thought it was hilarious that everyone was so concerned about it.
While I'm still not overly concerned for me personally (I just never worry about anything really), it's obvious that this isn't to be taken lightly. It's spreading like a wildfire and literally everything is shutting down bc of it. It's not a joke.

Correct. The economy is taking a huge and brutal hit right now. I think that's being lost in all of this, by some. Is how far reaching this issue is. Aside from just the fatalities.

I would not be Suprised to see a mandatory lock down in the coming days. Where only essential people can travel(doctors, nurses, first responders, etc) will be allowed to travel. It has worked in other parts of the world and it may be needed here. It'll be a brutal hit to the economy but I think it would be better than a long drawn out slow down were currently seeing.

Clown, how many cases in China?

Was it at the 100 million level?

Is Italy at the one million level?

Those were and are the two worst hotspots.

Trump had a travel ban on Jan 31. He OBVIOUSLY slowed a point of entry. Unfortunately people still came in this Country with the virus. And that is how the virus came in. It didn’t just pop up out of nowhere. Yet we had people complaining about that particular travel ban. All are idiots who complained about the Jan 31 travel ban.


My point is if China never got to the million mark with cases, and of course you have to question their reported cases, why would the US go that high with all that was done so far?

People can argue about the response of Trump but he still took action on Jan 31 and that was a HUGE POINT OF ENTRY that was stopped with people coming into this country. Yet, Biden, Bernie and the Trump opposition had the nerve to question it. U real from those people. Oh, I know why, the impeachment was still wet and fresh.

People telling us the worst case scenarios only causes panic. And those people were saying 1/3 of the US will get it.

Again, look at the current numbers and the current precautions that this Country is doing right now....I just don’t see the crazy high numbers that they are saying.....

And if everybody has a cough they will all panic and run to get a test or think they have a death sentence. And that is ridiculous.
