The only tropics I know of are the Flint Tropics. And I've only ever seen random bits and pieces of Semi-Pro. Assuming that's what you're talking about.

A Biden campaign insider tells me Amy Klobuchar is leading the potential VEEP field right now ... with Kamala Harris, Gretchen Whitmer, and Tammy Duckworth all among the top contenders.

Imo Stacey Abrams should also be on any short list.

Also would like to see Katie Porter get an interview, straight shooter, no BS.

Come on Clown. The world was still active. Everything has stopped. You are telling me during the Civil War the Country was on a lockdown? The only thing close was the Spanish Flu.

Basic life still went on during the other crisis you listed.....

    2008?

    Laughing my *** off.

Nobody stopped and stayed home for 30 day periods. This current crisisí magnitude canít even be touched by those other crisis.

Even during both World Wars life still went on in the USA.

Show me anything on your lists where everything stopped around the Country because of that particular crisis.

Again, Spanish Flu is about it. And Iím not even sure how the mitigation was throughout the Country during that event.

Reminds me of when Dems laughed at the idea of Trump being the nominee. Don't listen to me I am only in 8th place.

The Covid 19 infection rate and mortality rate are not at all comparable to Spanish Flu. The economic comparison you make does not take several things into comparison. One, today segments of the economy continue as with today's technology people can work from home. People can order items and food and have them delivered in a major impossible in 1918. Manufacturing continues with automation. Today local economies are supported with public assistance, unemployment, and other safety nets and social insurance not available in 1918. Also there was a ww1 going on in which an additional tens of thousands of people were being killed per day in Europe. I would guess things were much worse in 1918 by a huge factor.

Nick glad I could bring a little joy to your day. Smile and giggle is good. Tell me you wouldn't get a kick out of Katie Porter telling Trump he's full of BS?

If you are talking only economics,
Look at the WWs. The economy suffered until the Pres put things into order.
Also the Great Depression? That was fairly significant

World economies have suffered many times. We never see it. We are number 1. This shows we are not. Our president shows he sucks.

I had so many friends who supported Hillary and I said Trump would beat her. This was in the GOP primaries. They laughed at me. "you have no idea what you are saying!" (My wife included)

The all I heard was "how did this happen?"

All I could think, because I didn't want to say it was, "I told you exactly how and why it would happen but you were too in your own azz to listen"

Clintons slogan " I am with her " was stupid. Her failure to campaign as much as Trump was stupid, she ran an awful campaign. Trump showed determination, grit, and his MAGA slogan was very effective. She was a terrible candidate. Her choice in running mate was awful too. She needed a partner to make up for her lack of grit. She was a terrible candidate. Also Bernie Sanders and his supporters didn't rally to her. But anyway, that is what happens when you underestimate your opponent.
