But I voted for Kasssich in the Primaries. I voted for Trump too against Clinton but honestly had I just been conditioned to hate Clinton after years of listening to Rush, Hannity, Ingraham ? After I stopped listening to that trio for a fee months my mind began to change. Fresh air creeped in. I was like Ted Nugvent previously about anything " Lib ". Yet, at some point I got tired of being so inclined to depersonalize everyone not like me. I wouldn't say at this point both sides suck. I would say both sides are imperfect. I would say both sides say promised they can't deliver. However, election per election I am not going to wear a uniform and vote for a teammate anymore. However, my 18 years olds future is what I seek to protect at this point. And her children's and thus my priority given the changing economy is going to be how I vote in the future. Plus the ecology. Just this week the Trump administration rolled back fuel emission standards. While this month during this quarantine the Earths environment has seen a improvement due to less emmisons. The contrast to me is significant. We were told by some on the right human activity cannot alter the Earths climate. I think over the last three weeks what human activity can do when it comes to our environment. It's startling. I live in the Bronx and the air is crisper. Anyway, off to work, happy Easter. If Kassich or Rubio had been the Republican candidate both would have won, both would have appointed pro life judges, both would have cut taxes, but neither would have engendered so much division and been so irresponsible. Ted Cruz is a jerk and arguably would have been as divisive and slow to respond to the covid.

I agree. I think it's a question of ego and authority. Cuomo does not like De Blasio, never did (and I would guess the feeling is mutual) and it infuriates him when he feels his authority is being usurped in front of HIS audience. Personally I like them both, but realize completely they are both slick politicians with incredible ego and self serving agenda.

Part of the issue imo, Cuomo is making decisions for the entire state. De Blasios' interest are more focused in the city, particularly Manhattan and the outer Boroughs. The county execs have a significant role in local government as do the Borough presidents. What is good down state may not be best for the entire state.

I continue to quarantine from posting on this thread. It has been a week or so. The thread is truly disgusting and deplorable (to regenerate a word) and has brought out the worst in some of you. If you can't see it, then nothing will help and reading these posts has made me lose a lot of respect for many posters. Even when one person posts about perceived inadequacies about a politician, another can't even discuss the objections rationally without invoking their hatred for the President or someone else. You know who you are. Most days I feel like calling a bunch of you out, but that would only lead to more vitriol. I wouldn't even post today if it weren't a special day. So, in spite of what I might have inferred above, I want to wash it all clean.

Happy Easter everyone. He is risen. He has taken away the sins of the world. He has shown us the way, the truth and the light. Please be safe and count your blessing on this most blessed day of the religious calendar.

Be careful not to conflate the honor and glory reserved for the Prince of peace who sacrificed his life for mankind, who showed a life of mercy for the poor, sick, and outsiders for a President who has done none of this. Who has manipulated Christians desperate to have someone they believe had their best interests at heart. You invoke Christ in your post who willingly accepted ridicule, alienation, and death to teach others to show mercy yet you refuse to even to talk with people who you disagree with. As a Christian I don't get what your saying and it's intellectually dishonest that you invoke Christ as a cover for you to attack others who disagree with you. As Christ fought, don't point out the speck of dirt in the other persons eye and ignore the log in your own.

    Dr, cut the comparison BS!

We have a Billy Martin as President and you blast him for the way he is handling this crisis.

We all know how he is.....the problem is 50.5% of the population doesn’t care how he acts.

Quit trying to show us HOW YOU WANT HIM TO BE, he never will so save your time with something else to post.

You lost me Nicky. What comparison? I thought I was offering a critique of Cuomo.

You are indeed correct, that is a frightening thought don't you agree? No empathy, compassion or self awareness.

That's an insult to Billy Martins legacy!

Not how I WANT him to be, but how he is!!

Maybe I missed it, but there's something I haven't seen mentioned. Let's assume the schools remain closed for the remainder of the school year. Then in June or July, or even May, people are allowed to go back to their jobs. These families are going to be scrambling to find child care. Much different scenario than if the kids are in school.
