Funny how he's only doing this when Twitter put a fact check under one of his tweets. I'll wait to see what the order is but I wouldn't be surprised if he attempts to suppress or curtail the first amendment somehow.

    Ok
So social media is ok unless it questions factual comments?
It doesn’t stop the comments, so you can say what you want but if social media uses its freedom of speech to suggest looking at the facts before deciding, it’s going to be censored?

I’ll respond to all other posts later today.

More and more TESTING is why we have a few spikes not because of reopening in phases. If people still follow the social guidelines then we will be ok. But come on, we cannot stay holed up until a damn vaccine....I know the Dems or Trump opposition on here wants you all to stay home and be miserable but that is not going to work folks.

I knew the opposition would start their crap when a few spikes start to form. And right on cue from Mets Guy. He was just waiting for it so he could come on here and say, SEE I TOLD YOU!

But the opposition never has their plan. Maybe a few like clown but the rest don’t. They just complain about the reopening because it came from Trump. If the reopening came from Obama and we had the same scenario these people would all be church mouse quiet.....pathetic!

Just own up to the fact that you were wrong. I told you there would be upticks in cases of states that relaxed restrictions/reopened earlier and they found that to be the case in 13 of them. A handful of states that are having their highest number of cases to date. For example, the governor of Arkansas Asa Hutchinson was saying the state was moving in the right direction 4 weeks ago when they began reopening.

Your words were along the lines that you needed to be a medical professional to make those assertions and the fact is that anyone who understands virus transmission (clearly you don't) knew this was a very distinct possibility. Its a combination of more testing and more foot traffic. Relaxed restrictions were going to bring on more cases.

Again you make it political. No one here brings up the right but you can't wait to bring up the left.

Last I checked cases weren’t going down To zero when everything was closed up . And here in Florida there hasn’t been a large spike in cases either . And by the way the reopening of states has been up to the governors , cuomo made that clear over a month ago . Oh and even fauci is saying that prolonging the lockdown is going to do more harm than good and the states need to start reopening already .

No one is arguing re-opening (responsibly). We all know the there needs to be some semblance of normalcy in regards to the economy but some people think that's a magic elixir. Its going to be hard to bring back a significant % of jobs that were lost or furloughed due to the virus related recession. Getting back to work doesn't mean there is the same business to go back to.

Additional aid is still needed for families, states, hospitals, and there should be hazard pay for essential front line workers.

I was never talking about cutting off aid . I was just saying even fauci supports reopening . My post was in response to anyone in this thread freaking out over rises in cases since states STARTED reopening .

You've long since been a proponent of putting people back to work and I'm saying its not going to just fix everything overnight. The fact is there still needs to be work done from Washington.

Well this would be interesting because isn't Citizens united the idea that a company has a voice?
So twitter would have the constitutional right to question a fact.

If not, would;t any individual be allowed that right? So workers at twitter could do it as well.

Or are we no longer allowed to question the president's comments?

Again, those defending the man need to think this through because if he gets this stuff forced through, when a liberal president is in office, you won't be able to say diddly.

Dr. Rachael Lee, UAB Hospital epidemiologist, says Alabama’s new surge of cases is based on several factors.

One is increased testing, showing how prevalent the virus is still spreading.

“If you look over the last seven days in Alabama, we’ve had consistently the same number of testing throughout the state,” said Lee. “So, I think we can safely say while we’ve increased across the board, it’s remained steady for the past seven days. So this increase we’re seeing is concerning to me.”

She says people’s actions are another factor.

“Part of that may be relaxing some restrictions,” said Lee. “Part of it may be not wearing masks in public, or having more larger events, which is what we’d be concerned about for Memorial Day weekend.”

Get back to me when tweets from left leaning politicians and media outlets have the same fact check option as trump’s . Until that happens this is all just the media and social media trying to push a political narrative .

Do left leaning politicians words carry the same import and influence as Trump's? The man told people to drink bleach and they did! The cult believes. His lies have consequences. So there is a difference, a significant difference.

This is the president of the US, is it too much to ask for honesty, integrity and accountability? Or has the bar been lowered, as a result of his incompetence, to a level so low that expectations are permanently altered? What will it take to regain the respect the country has sacrificed under this administration?

Even his tough guy antics are proving transparent, see recent Russian games with US surveillance plane and Russians sending at least 14 combat jets to Libya. Russian military pilots are flying them, additional satellite imagery shot last week shows two MiG-29 Fulcrums at Al Jufrah Air Base in the center of that country.
