Scientists are guessing 10x more likely at minimum(1 to 2 percent mortality rate) and every sickness has the reality. A lot of people with the flu never get tested, same for the swine flu.

Speculated to be a 20 percent hospitalization rate, too.

Nah, that's highly unlikely the mortality rate would end up being that high. If the number of infected is 10x as high, that means the mortality rate is significantly lower, since there are 10 times as many cases. Because of the lack of testing, only people who are severely sick or who have been in contact with people who tested positive are being tested. What that means is that we have an extremely biased sample of the most severe cases. South Korea has a mortality rate of .7%. They've been conducting a lot more testing than here (where our mortality rate at present is 1.8%), which means that they are capturing a lot more of the less severe cases, because they are testing a larger number of people in their population and aren't being as selective as we are. Whatever the true mortality rate is, we can be assured that it is lower than whatever recorded number we have (since a lot of people don't ever get tested).
