If people are too stupid to use a helmet/seat belt then that's on them. Likewise if they smoke/vape then that is on them too.

If people cause an accident we have laws for that already, them doing it because they were using a phone is beside the point.
Completely disagree w the helmet/seatbelt thing. That's not just on the individual. If I get into an accident and the other person isn't wearing their helmet or seatbelt, that could come back to **** me over a lot more than if they did have it on.

20k - 52k is a lot... I wonder why everything wasn't shut down with those numbers.
You tried to use a city not me lol. 34-49M flu cases. To compare, at its current rate if the Coronavirus was to hit the low end of those flu cases at 34M that would come out to 1.19M deaths, more than 20 times that of the flu. At the high end of 49M cases Coronavirus would hit about 1.715M deaths. Hence the decisions to do everything they can to prevent the spreading.

41 deaths, 10 in critical condition. So far. Let's hope it remains under control. I'm gonna look at the bright side and say it could be way worse.

But I was thinking about this the other day, tobacoo kills more people than any virus or even war yet there's no measure taken to reduce those risks. We're talking hundreds of thousands of people dying every year and no one seems to care about that. But 40 people die and the country gets shut down. Makes you wonder

I know because I understand how to read graphs and numbers... look what happened in China.

China: 80k confirmed, 3k deaths, 63k recovered. Please remember that the population of China is MUCH higher than the US... quality of life is a bit better in the states as well.

Lmao youíre so stubborn and close minded on this but one thing we can agree on is that we both hope youíre right so the deaths are low and youíre able to gloat

Weíre far behind other countries right now when it comes to this, not even close. So what happened to the other 14k?

Agreed... not trying to be a dick but it doesn't seem like this is going to outdo the flu.

Itís a choice to use tobacco, if youíre dumb enough to do it then thatís on you. It isnít a choice to get Coronavirus from someone elseís carelessness but there are measures to try and cut down on even the use of tobacco, weíre just so used to seeing the commercials and everything now we donít think anything of them.

Way more people have died from second hand smoke than the coronavirus. It's not even close.

It just makes you wonder what's really going on.

Side note: Iím not big into politics Iíll listen and read here and there but Iím not big on watching everything and seeing all these politicians talking out of their *** to try and get elected. I see things and agree with things on both sides of the spectrum and Iím not saying Iím for student loan debt being eliminated but I do think itís funny how you always hear ďwhere will they get the money to eliminate student loan debt?Ē acting as if they donít have it and then the fed pulls $1.5 trillion out of their *** yesterday to fund the markets for a little as they continue to drop (the exact amount needed to cancel student loan debt).
