Nets & Coach Kenny Atkinson part ways, Jacque Vaugh new coach

    Per Shams

    Kyrie/KD effect in full force

This guy did an absolutely stellar job last year and especially this year with no KD and a bipolar injury prone soft puddy Kyrie

Not a good sign for the Nets. Marks and Atkinson have done a tremendous job in Brooklyn. If this doesn't signify that Kyrie is poison to a franchise, nothing will. Kyrie and Durant obviously want their guy. Whoever it is, he won't be a better coach than Atkinson. Atkinson will land on his feet, he's established he can coach in this league. Definitely a step backward for this organization. An organization like the Knicks could do a lot worse than hiring Atkinson with Marks close behind. Did Dolan buy the Nets while we weren't looking? You would think so based on this move

Didn't see that coming. Ya know if the Nets could go back and re-do the 2019 summer, I have to think there's at least a slight chance they consider it. This one is pretty shocking to me.

Kyrie Irving is absolutely useless. I mean there is no other reason for the coach to "part ways" other than Irving and KD are being total douche bags.

Hope he stays in NY. Kenny is a fine coach. The Knicks should roll out the red carpet

What's funny about this is KD said Kenny is the reason he liked the Nets so much.

It's the Kyrie effect. (Maybe we should nickname him Kylie)

Apparently Kenny pushed for this more than the Nets did.
“It’s about winning,” Stoudemire said. “You win, you’re going to get on national TV. Simple. In Phoenix, we won — Western Conference finals three, four years, playoffs every year. We won. If you don’t win, nobody really wants to see you.”

If the rumors on why they parted ways are to be believed, I doubt the 76ers is anything he wants to be a part of.
