Could Coronavirus cause the NBA Playoffs to be played in front of empty arenas?

That would be wild. Saw their looking at steaming funerals for coronavirus victims so the families and friends and watch without risk.

Iím sure they have plans in place. My brother is president of a professional soccer team in the 3rd division of US soccer. We were talking last night about this very thing. Heís had to have conversations with the city about it and conversations with other clubs about what their citys are planning. Granted thatís at a much much smaller level. Weíre talking thousands not tens of thousands but itís still a legitimate concern for players, staff, fans and lost revenue.

Iíd lean on it not being discussed public ally because thereís already a lot of concerns and they donít want to incite more panic.

I heard is already in Washington, unless they mean the state it would mean the Wizards are at a major risk and teams going into Washington are as well, we play in Washington Sunday. I saw it the other day though and just glanced at it so not sure if it was the city or state tbh.

If they distribute masks to tens of thousands of fans at games, those are masks not available to healthcare workers. It would create a huge shortage and put a lot of people at risk.
