They are high profile so it looks worse.
Hicks was a trade , he came from the twins

Yup. Super highly touted Twins kid who never panned out. We shipped JR Murphy to Minnesota for him.

One 5 WAR season from Hicks will still make that trade an easy win for the Yankees forever. Murphy is a fringe major league catcher.

The trade is not what really gets me itís giving hicks a 7 year extension that just defies all logic to me

The Hicks trade was a complete steal. Cash is great at those.

Let's compare that with another famous player's stats who injured himself in his rookie season and had a nagging injury the rest of his career:
GP 365 AB 1351 HR 57 RBI 244 BA Range .267 to .311 OPS Range .792 to .924 Games played in his 3rd year 127

As you can see both players had similar GP, AB and RBI. I wonder if those of you who want to get rid of Judge would have gotten rid of the other player. No cheating. Just your honest opinions.
Just in case anyone was interested, the other player who's stats were arguably not as good as Judge's that had the debilitating knee injury in his rookie season was Mickey Mantle. Thank goodness we didn't trade him.

Betting on a guy coming off a very above average year. Yes, he has injury concerns which is why the AAV wasn't much and that is where they were gambling. If he didn't have injury concerns he would have gotten quite a contract.

I don't think he's a bust. I think he just needs the right motivation to pick himself up & play harder.

    True.
I suggest that you tell us what you want us to put on our sigs.
    Then we won't do it.

Your victory is telling us what we would have had to put as sigs.
