He's 25 and still a minor leaguer. The Cubs didn't think he was good enough to protect. He has 4 pitches from average to above average but has a FV of 35+. Not sure what the deal is, but if he's not good enough to make the Orioles, I'm going to assume that he's bad

    Weird story:

Cardinals have released Yairo Munoz after he reportedly “left the team and flew home” without notifying the team

The problem with dumping DD is it will cost the team an additional minimum of 563k this year

    They're poor!

I read some comments by Ross yesterday about the last bench spot and it doesn’t look like good news for Descalso IMO. He said that he is looking for something to complement the rest of the roster. He doesn’t want 5 utility guys on the bench. He could look for a power bat / speed / 3rd catcher.

I think it will be Miller or Phegley but can’t rule out an outside of the organization add as guys always become available towards the end of spring training.

Don’t think both Descalso / Kipnis make the team . They are basically the same weak hitting LH 2B but I think they will try kipnis early on to see how he looks.

True, but the problem with keeping him is that he sucks.

Miller was sent to the minors already. I don't think they keep Kipnis, I don't think they've offered him MLB money yet unless he makes MLB roster. He sucks.

We do need a sulking infielder ever since Russell left.

Mills has pitched 9 innings so far this spring without giving up a run.

Chatwood also pitching well. Should be interesting. I assume one of them will start in the pen on opening day.

It was Tyson Miller not Miller the OF.

It will be Chatwood as the 5th starter and Mills as the swing man.

Yeah in reality Kipnis sucks but the options are obviously not great at 2B. My guess is they give him a look like they did with Cargo and he will be cut at some point. After reading Ross comments yesterday I think Descalso is in some trouble.

I like that Rivas kid. Too bad he wont get a real shot at the roster. Wick also has been real bad this spring and he was struggling to close out last year too, hope he gets it right by opening day.
